Guest Access: Entire Cabin The Neighborhood: This beautiful cabin is located in the Mountain Shadows Resort. There is an outdoor, seasonal pool. There is also a playground. The cabin is very convenient to downtown Gatlinburg (10-minute drive) and several entrances to The Great Smoky Mountains National Park! Getting Around: We recommend 4x4 wheel drive anywhere in The Great Smoky Mountains. This cabin features paved roads all the way up and is easy to reach, but we still recommend 4x4 wheel drive. Other Things to Note: • Must be 21 or older to book this cabin. • This cabin sleeps 8 guests maximum. • 4x4 drive is recommended for travel in the Smoky Mountains. Roads are paved, but weather conditions can vary. • Gas fireplace is seasonal and typically operates from October through March, depending on the weather. • Coffee maker is both a regular drip and a Keurig—bring your own coffee/K-Cups. • Hot tub is drained, sanitized, and refilled between each guest stay. It may need time to reach full temperature on the check-in day. • Starter supplies of toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, and laundry detergent are provided. • Guests agree to use the website messenger for all communication, even if initial contact is made by another method. • Bears and all types of wildlife are very common in the area! Do not feed or bother the bears or wildlife! Please leave them alone. We have no control over wildlife. They are very protected here and part of our area. Secure your belongings and always lock vehicle doors. • We have monthly pest control at all of our cabins. Being in the Great Smoky Mountains, we are surrounded by nature and wildlife. Ladybugs, millipedes, and other insects can be difficult to combat around this time of year, even with our constant pest control program in place. It is not uncommon to see them occur in and around the cabin/condo, especially with the opening and closing of doors. This is extremely common for the area and all cabins/condos. • Being in the mountains, wind can sometimes blow leaves, dirt, or other natural debris into the hot tub. The hot tub has been drained and cleaned to ensure it’s ready for use. The cabin is off the beaten path but within minutes to both Gatlinburg and pigeon forge. The only drawback is the bedrooms are downstairs and the steps are not carpeted. They aren’t suitable for elderly people who may need assistance. This place is good for a couple but the beds are full size in both rooms. The views from the upper deck were amazing. The cabin was a good location. The only issue we had was the missing remotes for the TVs. It took a second request to get that taken care of. The hot tub was clean and much appreciated after hiking in the mountains! The cabin was clean but there were some paint and patching compound on the bathroom sinks. The cabin is equipped with the necessary bedding, cookware, furniture, and other amenities to make an amazing stay. Chris was readily available to help us with any questions we had. The hot tub would not heat up for us the first day but I reached out and our host quickly had a maintenance person over to resolve the issue while we were out.
