"When you walk into the Palihotel, you feel like you’ve walked into a home, you are invited in with the family feel with fantastic service and genuine friendliness. The property is always part of the areas history, I’ve stayed in two different locations and looking forward to staying in others as well. Truly boutique and the efforts of the little things are noticed, I love that you have shampoo and conditioner plus body wash in the showers which you would think wouldn’t be a big deal but even five star hotels sometimes miss out on good conditioner and plenty of it. The restaurant, the St. James is a French restaurant in the hotel, and it was phenomenal! I ate there every day and night, although I planned to check out other highly rated restaurants in the area, never did. There was a hiccup the first night with a battery in the fire alarm waking me up in the middle of the night the reception immediately moved me to a new room where I could sleep, kept all of my things in the old room fixed the battery the next day comped my room and put me back into my old room. At 4 AM in the morning the staff was as friendly as if it was in the middle of the afternoon. The management is kind and train their staff accordingly. I give them five star and look forward to my next stay! Thank you!"

"Stayed 1 week, including 2 Jays' baseball games - Petco a 5 minute walk away. The accommodation was perfect for our needs - as well as baseball, we enjoyed the close-by dining (huge # of choices). As well, a great starting point for walks throughout beautiful San Diego - Seaport Village, Balboa Park, etc. The kitchen was well appointed serving all req'ts. All in all a fantastic property."
