Many mornings you will see elk grazing just outside the living room windows. It is a site to be seen and enjoyed!! Throughout Gardiner and the areas around Yellowstone National Park - there is nothing quite like The Eagles Nest at Yellowstone. This wonderful and spacious cabin is located just off the Yellowstone River. Only a few hundred yards away from Yellowstone National Park, 4-miles from the Roosevelt Arch at the north entrance to YNP, and close to Mammoth Hot Springs, mountain biking and all the wildlife you can imagine. The Eagles Nest at Yellowstone is self-contained with wilderness furnishings in the living area, crisp linens, plush towels, books, SMART TV (must have your own Netflix account), DISH TV Network, WIFI access, a complete fully-stocked kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, range, dishwasher, washer & dryer, coffeemaker, coffee and teas, gourmet spices and sauces, an outdoor grill and a wonderful covered patio for relaxing after a day of hiking, horseback riding or rafting on the Yellowstone River. Restaurants and local shopping are within a ten minutes driving distance and Chico Hot Springs Spa & fine restaurant are a half hour away. This Yellowstone cabin is a delightful place from which to navigate your Yellowstone National Park vacation, and you can even walk to the park directly from our driveway, only 1500 (approx) feet away. Enjoy a BBQ on the patio, a marshmallow roast at the fire pit by the river or a relaxing stroll down our rural road, away from the noises of the city. Just under 48 miles to Livingston, and 1 1/2 hours from Bozeman Airport, the location is convenient yet very private. Feedback for our cabins has been consistently wonderful. We do occasionally see bears, mountain lions, wolves, bison and rattlesnakes on the property and we frequently have deer and elk - especially in the spring and fall. The property does have exterior cameras to for the protection and safety of our property and guests. Many times the elk will eat right outside the patio and bed down for the day. Please do not approach or feed any of the wildlife. You should always maintain 25 yards distance between elk, deer & bison and 100 yards from bears, wolves and mountain lions. If you come in off of 89 it is the smoother side, but nothing beats popping out right at the Roosevelt arch. We loved waking up to elk in the yard, but even when they aren’t in the actual yard, they aren’t too far away. Cabin was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. It is not on the river side. So really no river view. The row of other homes had the view. The mountain view was ok..Rural means a long gravel road. We live in the country so we are use to them. The elk do visit and there are droppings everywhere. It didn't bother me but if you have small kids you won't want them running very far.Having to take our own trash off was ridiculous. We paid a cleaning fee of and some other fees and we had to take our trash off over 20 minutes away! In the opposite direction of were we needed to go. This is ridiculous. The old folks loved the quiet and the kids loved the wildlife. It was out of the town enough but close enough to eat out and enjoy the park. Old faithful wowed the kids and the rest of the park was an experience I hope the grandkids will pass down some day to there grandkids. Horseback riding and river rafting also highlights they will never forget. ##### Pat B. Saw herds of elk and a pronghorn antelope close to the cabin. One late afternoon we watched a family of coyotes playing in the field. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Had a great time with our family! If I could change anything, it would be the trash removal. I have a new car and was wary of putting trash sacks in the back to carry to the airport. I highly recommend this property when staying in Yellowstone. This was a great size for my family of 7\. The house had plenty of space and the full kitchen and grill allowed us to prepared some meals at the house. Having the washer and dryer was a great bonus. As we were grilling out one day we saw about 50 elk moving over th hillside- it felt like a scene from a. Movie. The location allowed for quick access to the north gate into Yellowstone and we had no wait to get in the park. The town of gardiner had everything you could need as well. If we come back come to Yellowstone, we will would definitely get this rental again. ##### Kristie P. The view was beautiful, looking right at the north entrance to Yellowstone. Cabin was clean and modern with all of the amenities, including A/C. Wildlife in the front yard. No wait times during the time we were there (late June-early July) to get into Yellowstone. The property was clean and well appointed. It was great to wake up to fox, coyote and elk right outside your door! My husband and son loved fly fishing on the Yellowstone River, essentially in your backyard (although not all cabins are next to the river so be careful about which one you choose). Our communication, with Tammy, was less than ideal. She did not understand the billing that VRBO had implemented (in fact, neither did VRBO although they were persistent in figuring out their own error so I given them credit!) and instead of trying to figure it out, was curt, accusatory and rude. Thankfully, VRBO customer service was amazing, figured out their error and fixed the documentation. Overall, a great place to stay as long as you don't have to deal with management. ##### Heather L.
