It is nestled on 3 acres of land with 300 feet of Yellowstone River frontage that provides private river access. It sits just below Electric Peak, an 11,000 foot peak in the north end of Yellowstone Park, the views and surrounding landscape are awe-inspiring. LOCATION: 5 miles from the Roosevelt Arch marking the North Entrance to Yellowstone National Park in Gardiner, MT. It's incredibly convenient to serve as a base camp for all of your explorations of the Park and surrounding area (see updates above about access). You truly feel connected to the beautiful nature around you. There is a great natural hot spring located less than 3 miles from the house as well. The town of Gardiner is working to become members of the Dark Sky Association because of the incredible night skies in the area. They really will take your breath away! Of course, you may have to share the beach with the elk. There are lots of recreational opportunities outside of the Park: miles and miles of hiking trails, whitewater and scenic rafting, horseback riding, e-bike tours, wildlife tours, fishing, shopping, restaurants and food trucks, scenic drives, soaking in Yellowstone Hot Springs, Chico Hot Springs, and local music venues. DESCRIPTION: Nature often puts on a show for our guests. The Yellowstone River is rich with wildlife and activity, especially as the sun is coming up. You can soak it all in from the comfort of the living room or deck as you have your morning coffee. Elk, deer, otters, bald eagles, osprey, coyotes are common guests! The main floor has an open floor plan with a large kitchen that adjoins a roomy dining area and Living Room, ideal for gatherings and games. The deck is accessed off of the kitchen and provides a wonderful spot to sit and watch the sun drop behind Electric Peak as you relax with your family and friends. A gas grill is provided on the deck for creating true summertime outdoor meals. Also on the main level is a wonderful master bedroom (king bed) with an ensuite full bathroom. It’s not often that a bathroom has such incredible views, but this one does! Guests will enjoy the soaking tub as well as the walk-in shower in the master bath. A cozy bonus reading room with a desk sits just outside the master bedroom. A half bath is available off of the great room. The lower level is all about a casual and relaxed vibe. It is a walkout onto the yard. There are 3 bedrooms (each with a queen bed) and a full bath with a shower/tub combo. A great family room with large screen TV and comfy couches is downstairs as well. Laundry with washer and dryer. The home sleeps 8 (max) comfortably if you include the bonus room’s twin bed. All of the mattresses and linens are high quality since getting good sleep can make all the difference on vacation. There are 3 bathrooms. The kitchen is fully stocked with all you will need to make most meals. NOTE: This home is incredibly special to me because it served as a home for my family of 3 boys up until now. I have managed rentals in the area for other owners and have received only 5 star reviews for my service. Now it is time to offer my own home and I hope that it provides a wonderful place to relax and share time with family and friends while inspiring you to get out and explore the incredible area of Yellowstone. It’s comforting and cozy on cold evenings and dreamy to wake up to expansive views. We stayed here as a home base for our trip to Yellowstone, and it met every expectation. The home is well equipped with everything you need, plus the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept on. We spent chilly mornings and evenings on the deck, watching the resident elk herd move through the valley. Very convenient to Gardiner and the north entrance to the park. It had plenty of space for us all to sleep and be together and it's a convenient distance to Gardiner and the entrance to Yellowstone. The scenery from the house is just beautiful! We saw (and heard) plenty of wildlife, especially elk (and baby elk!) Gardiner had everything we needed for the week (coffee, grocery and ice cream shops, restaurants and souvenir shops). We went to the hot springs pools just a few miles in the other direction and that was a fun afternoon too. The only reason I gave 4 stars for cleanliness was because there was quite a buildup of leftover condiments and such in the fridge when we arrived and also the lower level bedding sometimes smelled a bit musty but that certainly did not take away from our stay in this spectacular area. I would definitely recommend this house (and Gardiner and most of all Yellowstone!) ##### Matthew B. This lovely home had everything we needed: fully stocked kitchen, laundry, wonderfully comfortable beds, and a peaceful view of the meandering Yellowstone River from just about every room in the house. Great location Every room has windows overlooking the river and mountains where we saw elk everyday. The house was very comfortable and nicely furnished. Everything we needed was there. This home was everything we could have asked for AND more! The location was very convenient for our daily trips into YNP. The home was spacious, clean and offered many extras for our stay. The beds and linens were comfy, each room had ample space for our belongings for the week, board games for down time, a large dining table, stocked kitchen and our favorite feature …. a short path down to the Yellowstone River for swimming, fishing and relaxing on the beach. Immaculate views of Electric Peak, surrounding mountains and lots of wildlife - bald eagle and elk sightings daily made the trip extra special. It was an easy to drive to the park, dining options, rafting and the Yellowstone Hot Springs. I could not recommend this home more. Sandy has put a lot of extra special touches into this home. We were a larger family group (grandparents, adults and young children) and we felt very comfortable in the home. Plenty of space, clean and comfortable and the views are even more beautiful than the pictures can show. We spent a ton of time on the porch watching the river and Mountain views. Very close to north entrance of Yellowstone and just a few minutes to a small, but well-stocked grocery store down the street. We grilled and cooked our meals in the home. Fenced in yard was great for littles and lots of thoughtful details in the home for kids (pack’n play, books, cute stuffed animals and etc.). The host was always very responsive and we had no issues at all with the home. I would stay here again and recommend Sandy’s place to everyone! ##### Andrea R. The property is beautiful with amazing views all around. It is a perfect base to access the Yellowstone through the north entrance. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beautiful view and peaceful atmosphere. The home is so comfortable and well appointed, everything we needed and more! Very private, yet close to everything you need. Conveniently located just a short drive to Gardiner and the north entrance to Yellowstone, perfect for all the stops we wanted to make in the park. Sandy had great recommendations for local excursions, many of which we did and they all exceeded our expectations! Our family visited in mid-June, which was just right for our kid’s first whitewater rafting trip with Flying Pig Adventures right down the road. They did an amazing job! Also, wildlife viewing in the park was incredible during our tour with Yellowstone Wild. At the house, we saw elk every day! She has a great spotting scope set up too. We watched bald eagles, fox, deer, and geese right from the living room. Sandy was available and easy to communicate with, an amazing host! When we return to the area, we wouldn’t hesitate to book again with Sandy and stay at her little slice of heaven! ##### Gerri B. There are many amenities like a couple of nice coolers for packing lunches, very well stocked kitchen, and a great backyard view (saw about 25 elk in the backyard on one evening). The WiFi was better than I expected (not perfect but not a deal breaker). I highly recommend this house if you’re coming to Yellowstone vacation. ##### Melinda S. She checked in to make sure we got in with no problems and checked in part way through the week. The house is beautiful. It was great for our family of 7\. Especially our kids (ages 8,6,4,2,1) the backyard is fenced in and there was plenty of space to spread out and enjoy being there. Only a few minutes to Yellowstone or just to go to town. We saw wildlife every day we were there with two days the elk staying in the backyard. Incredible place to stay. Can’t wait to come back. ##### Kim B.
