Great Home!

Nice central location. The cabin was very nice but shy on parking. Our only gripe is the water lines in the main bathroom are switched so it gives hot when it should be cold.

Fall Yellowstone Family Weekend
The location of this home was ideal, right in the middle of Gardiner and less than 5 minutes from the park entrance! The house is quirky and kitchy, but clean and has most everything you could ask for available. Our one big complaint is that the beds are all lacking. The 2 queen sized beds are raised up so high that they are literally difficult to get into. For my 80 year old parents it was bordering on dangerous. The upstairs queen bed desperately needs to be replaced as it has a valley in the middle and is impossible for 2 adults to sleep in together. If the only other people staying at this place are children then the other beds are fine, but they are either mattresses on the floor or very small twin beds. All in all it is a cute place, but if you are looking for quality sleep this may not be the ideal accommodation for you.

Nice place to stay. The only reason I gave 4 stars on the neighborhood is because the parking is pretty tight especially if you have multiple vehicles. It's clean and you have a nice view of the river and mountains.

Ladies Hiking Trip

There wasn't any air conditioning. The swamp cooler filters were dirty, so they weren't working. They didn't provide trash bags. The owner wasn't very nice about my concerns. We wouldn't recommend this place to anyone if it is during hot months.

Grizzly Den is a nice place to stay! VRBO hidden fees are a bummer. Paid much more than was listed online. Don't mind paying for things, just tough to stomach the extras and fees after things have been booked up and payments have started. Why can't all of these things be listed up front?

Amazing stay
We had a great trip. Location was conveniently located near the north entrance to the park. Check in and check out process was very easy. The owner replies very promptly if you have any questions. The house was very cute and perfect for a family. The only small challenge was parking. Parking was very tight and we had a large SUV. Would absolutely stay again.

Great cabin and location to restraints, shopping, and excursions. It is so close to Yellowstone Park’s north Entrance! The teens enjoyed a private room upstairs and a loft area to hang out in. Parking was a bit tight and living area is small and not much room to sit—but worked ok for us. Overall very accommodating and perfect for our family of 5! Could have taken another family with us.

Hard to find
There is NO CAR WASH ... its a garage now. We had a hard time finding this rental. Its not a stand alone, there are several units. Nice home ... lots of sleeping options but prop manager wasnt responsive when needed.

Perfect to explore!
Great location to North Yellowstone! Host was great at responding to us before and during our stay! Neat town! We went during off season the week before everything opens back up but loved that we timed it this way as it was not filled with tourists and avoided all crowds! Highly recommend!

Very convenient! Parking is tight but manageable. Super clean. One word of advice, only one bedroom on main floor all other beds up a very narrow but super cute spiral staircase. I would rent this place again.

Clean, Cozy, Comfortable, Convenient.
Grizzly Den was everything we wanted and needed. Close to the north gate of Yellowstone. Every modern convenience you’d need. More than ample for our family of four adults to sleep comfortably. They even had a Christmas Tree set up for us(we arrived on Christmas Day do that was a nice feeling). Excellent communication too. If we come to Gardiner again, we hope to stay here.

Perfect!
This was a perfect family getaway! The house is beautiful, perfect space for our family of 5. The kitchen has everything you need. We had coffee every morning on the deck overlooking the Yellowstone River. The upstairs space was perfect for our 3 teenage boys. My 14 year LOVED sleeping in the high loft. The proximity to e everything was amazing. We walked to the grocery store, Yellowstone entrance, and whitewater rafting! Having a laundry room available was amazing, we went home with clean clothes!! We would definitely stay here again!

Nice home with a great view
Home sits above the Yellowstone river and has a great view of the river as well as the area around Yellowstone park. Wildlife is plentiful throughout the area. We saw elk, deer, buffalo, and river otters. The north entrance to the park was closed due to flooding so we were limited to Gardiner but it has a charm of it's own. Overall we had a great time.

Area is beautiful. Surrounding area is friendly and safe. Checking in and out was very easy. Just as in previous reviews, stairwell is narrow, therefore not great for elderly or handicapped, however it was perfect for us. My elderly father took the downstairs bedroom, therefore no issues. The patio view was gorgeous, more than expected. The sound of the rushing Yellowstone River was soothing.

Great place that sleeps far more people than I ever expected and each person had privacy too. We even had an open single bed. Cozy place with lovely views and just minutes from Yellowstone North Entrance. We loved the Grizzley Den.

This was a fantastic stay. I highly recommend it. The only things to note was that we couldn't find the sheets for the pullout bed, which ended up not being an issue, and the shower downstairs is hot when it says cold and vice versa. I would 100% stay here again.

We had a group of 8 adults and were all able to fit comfortably. The place was clean, had a gorgeous view, we saw some elk snacking right below the deck, and the well stocked kitchen meant we didn't run out of pots or pans while making meals for 8. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect Location!
Grizzly Den was a perfect location for us to enjoy Gardiner and get into Yellowstone for early morning and late afternoon animal watching! The upstairs gave our kids lots of options for sleeping arrangements that were fun (and separate)! Plenty of cooking utensils and appliances in the kitchen for us to use. But we loved getting to walk to the Tumbleweed Bookstore and Cafe for delicious breakfast and Cowboy's for an amazing dinner! The beds were comfortable and even with low temps in late November the house was warm and cozy. The deck and view from the deck were great as well. The house is stocked with game and puzzles too! Perfect for the evenings! Thank you for letting us enjoy your home while we got a quick trip away!

Perfect property in a perfect location
We were looking to divide our 10 nights up over 3 locations, the first stop being in Gardiner near the north entrance of Yellowstone. I doubt there are many if any other properties with these amenities as close to the north entrance. I was quite surprised when heading out the first morning and finding ourselves at the entrance mere minutes after leaving the cottage. The property was perfect for our needs. The kitchen was very well equipped and clean. We were two couples. There were two bedrooms with queen sized beds and two bathrooms. Sleeping for 5 or 6 more is available in various lofts and alcoves. I could picture a large family or two couples with a few children each staying here. There is a large deck overlooking the river and the side of a mountain that we watched a few elk on our first morning. Because of the design each couple was afforded enough privacy. Because of the design I would caution individuals with a handicap that the 2nd level might be hard to access due to a narrow spiral staircase. We however enjoyed the setup of the cottage. The cottage is located on a very short gravel street off of the main road (Scott St.) While close to the main road, it was still very quiet. I never once heard any sounds from the surrounding area. The cottage is located close to a grocery store and multiple restaurants. This property suit our needs perfectly and we would stay there again and recommend others consider it if available. The owner was very easy to contact and well prior to our arrival made sure we had all of the necessary information to access the property.

This is a nice place to stay, although it is tucked in along a tight little driveway with several other houses. Be prepared to drive in and back out of the driveway, as there is no room to turn around, except at the entrance. Keeping in mind that the temps were unusually high, when we arrived it was very hot in the house. Once we closed all the curtains the downstairs started to cool. Upstairs the cooling unit was not installed properly, so hot air was being pumped back into the room. Hopefully the owners have addressed this problem. We worked around this issue and ended up enjoying our stay. The only really negative comment I have is about the spiral staircase. It is very narrow. Trying to maneuver a large suitcase upstairs/downstairs was a challenge. It looks nice, but in my opinion, it needs to be redesigned, because it did not feel safe. Other than the above comments, we (4 adults) really enjoyed staying at the Grizzly Den. We were even surprised by a mule deer the last evening as we sat under the covered back deck. He walked right up to the deck railing.

We were disappointed that we could not use the CD player. We had brought cds of Yellowstone to watch
We enjoyed our stay. My husband and I met our grandsons who live in Colorado and had a wonderful visit. We enjoyed touring Yellowstone during the day and playing games in the evening! We did not like the high beds!! I’m 5 ft 2 and have had both my hips and knees replaced. We needed to go to the store and buy a footstool so I could get into bed! I was so afraid of falling. It made me very nervous! Our grandsons who are both electricians noted there were problems with the smoke alarms.

Love the deck over looking the Yellowstone river. We had 6 adults in our group plus 2 kids . I would say it would be better suited for 4 adults and up to 4 kids. It as no air but she did put portable air units in. Love having 2 bathrooms. Over all a great place to stay

We had a great time staying in Gardiner for our Yellowstone trip. The location is within walking distance to grocery, gas station, restaurants and gift shops. The view overlooking the deck is wonderful and the resteraunts were all very busy so we were thankful to have a full kitchen. Fun loft area and sleeping areas for kids. We had plenty of space. We hope to return in the future.

Grizzly Den is Fabulous!
We loved this beautiful cabin located on picturesque Yellowstone River. The location in Gardiner is perfect, and the cabin is well stocked and VERY clean! A grocery store and restaurants are nearby, making it easy to cook if you want to, or go out if you want to. We’ll be back!

Awesome deck views of the river and mountains! It was gorgeous! Lots of room for families on the second level! Great location only blocks from North gate of Yellowstone. Definitely a great experience! One suggestion: The excessive heat wave was unusual and very much appreciated the portable air fans brought in, however, even with the fans, it was very warm in the house during the day and evening. The temps cooled down during the night which made sleeping bearable. May want to consider some sort of cooling system if these summers continue to be hot.

This place was perfect for our family. The kids absolutely loved the upstairs with several areas for them to sleep and relax. The back deck overlooks the Yellowstone River and into the park and it is a fantastic view and a great place to relax after a day of activities. The house was clean and has everything you need. The kitchen was well stocked and we took advantage of the gas grill on the deck as well. The property sits just north of Yellowstone's north entry gate. It's a perfect place for your park visit or to check out local fishing spots in the area. The town of Gardiner was a very laid back and friendly area. We were able to walk to a grocery store and several restaurants. Make sure to check out the Yellowstone Cafe for breakfast and the bookstore for a coffee or sandwich. I'd recommend this house for anyone planning a trip to the area.

The place was great, the host was wonderful. The town was on the verge of re-opening due to Covid, so it was sometimes hard to find a place to eat, but the grocery store is very close and all the amenities of the house made us feel at home. Thanks!

We weren't sure what to think when we had trouble finding 3rd street and ended up behind some buildings but once we found Grizzly Den - we loved it. Gardner is a great small town and this gem fits in perfectly. Gorgeous mountain view and Yellowstone River in back yard.
