Sharamore House is a beautiful bnb, with Sue , the hostess , providing a welcome environment. Her breakfasts are great especially the pancakes. Everything was top notch, would definitely recommend. Also located close to town for dining.
We were warmly greeted by Sue, the innkeeper. The room was comfortable, spacious, and had a lovely view of the inlet. Breakfast was made to order and phenomenal; many choices, and the coffee was the best! Nice and strong. Although not right in the town of Clifden, it's a 5 minute drive, as well as convenient place to explore the Connemara.
Sue and John are wonderful hosts. You feel like personal guests. Room is a good size. A couple of face cloths help American guests who do not travel with them. We shall return.
We stayed at this lovely B&B for two nights. Perfectly located very close to Connemara National Park, Kylemore Abbey and one hour from Galway. Clean and comfortable bedroom and a delicious breakfast!!
This place is so cute and homey. Extremely friendly staff that we enjoyed chatting with. Bed comfy and bathroom well appointed. Loved the water view from our window. Breakfast with several choices
Don’t normally do B&B but wanted to stay in the area so plumped for this. Great surprise. Very hospitable and the room very comfortable with a great view of the water. Very clean. Breakfast was superb. I very much recommend Sharamore House.
It’s too far too weak into town but very easy drive and close to the start of the Sky Loop
The hosts were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Very comfortable bed. The food was lovely, we really couldn’t fault our stay here. It’s about 3km outside Clifden town which was perfect for us. It’s nice and quiet and peaceful.
Really nice property, spacious bright room and very clean. Good location 5 mins drive from clifden and on route to omey island. Nice view from our room. Very friendly staff and a good breakfast menu, cooked to order.
Nothing negative about our experience but a taxi may be difficult to find on busy nights so we would recommend booking one in advance if you're looking to have a few drinks in town.
Beautiful room in a beautiful home, convenient to the town of Clidfen, Sky Drive, Kylemore Abbey, and the national park. Exceptionally friendly hosts and a wonderful breakfast!
Sharamore House is a nice little B&B, conveniently placed for visits to Clifden and the tidal island of Omey Island. The host is very helpful, happily providing information on tide times for our visit to Omey Island, and letting us use her landline to book flights to the Aran Islands (the next stop on our journey down the Wild Atlantic Way) when we couldn't get through by mobile phone.
Highly recommended.
Sue and John were wonderful hosts, the room was nice and clean. The breakfast was fantastic with their own smoked fish! The had plenty of good things to suggest for food and things to do in the area!
The room was perfect and the hosts were everything you wish for. Helpful, great suggestions, fabulous breakfast, and very responsive. Great out of the way location close to town.
Sue was very welcoming, room was warm ,cosy and queit, The breakfast menu was varied, I had the Irish breakfast,it was yum, my mum had the smoked kipper, said it was one of the best that she'd had for a long time.
Would recommend Sharamore House.
The good -- We had no problem finding the place and our room had a nice view of the bay. Sue was friendly on our arrival and it is close to Clifden so very nice for going in for dinner.
The not as good -- it was a fine place to crash but doesn't make me want to go back. It is pretty dated (which as far as decor isn't a big deal to me) but things seem pretty worn down, carpet worn through to the floor in spots, incredibly soft and uncomfortable bed. Basically an older house that could use some updating to better compete with the other B&Bs we stayed at in Ireland on this trip for the same nightly rate.
Wonderful location close to charming town of Clifden and many scenic drives. Owners and staff couldn’t do enough for you. Superbe choice of breakfasts and quality food.
Sue and John are wonderful hosts. The breakfast was one of the finest I've seen anywhere, with a full menu of choices including several that feature locally caught fish. Comfortable and well appointed room with a picturesque view of the surrounding countryside. Sue went above and beyond by helping us book an activity for our next day. The location is perfect, a ~10 minute drive to Connamara National Park and Kylemore Abbey and only a few minutes drive to downtown Clifden. Clifden has several nice shops and restaurants (though many close for the winter).
