They need some chairs outside under the entrance. Also, no garbage can outside and the one in the lobby was FULL. There were only 2 towels in the bathroom for a party of three. The front desk clerk was working in the laundry room. No welcome or hello. This place is not worth the money.

This was a disappointing stay as the hotel and amenities did not match what was portrayed online. No hot tub, even though it was shown in pictures (the staff advised they have been trying to remove those pictures for 4 years). The staff advised the exercise room and laundry room were also not currently available. People book hotels based on what they claim to offer, and we did not get what we paid for. The hallways were dirty, it looked rundown overall and there were cockroaches under our coffee pot when we wanted to make coffee.

after reading other reviews I was a little concerned about the cleanliness. However, it was clean, I did not see or feel any bugs. There are some places need to be painted, but they are renovating and looks like replacing all mattresses. they have a shuttle to cruise terminal for $10 per person and this was timely and professional.

Poor experience. In a nutshell the following, closet door didn't work, bathroom door wouldn't latch, no light bulbs in lamps, lampshades still had plastic wrap on them which had to be removed to prevent from burning of the light bulbs,phone didn't work,mold on the curtains from the A/C , A/C on 4th floor(my floor) was out, Ice machine didn't work. Facility guy took almost 2 hrs to show up.

The property is not maintained very well. It smells old and the bathroom toilet was falling apart. The shower was dirty and the carpet was dirty throughout the hotel.

It was what I needed. One night before my cruise left. But it was just a rundown place. Lamp shades broken. Toilet rickety. Smelled weird. But the water worked, sheets were clean, tv mostly worked. So I was happy enough.

While the staff was very friendly, the property however is extremely rundown. My room had a balcony door and the door frame was coming away from the wall, the toilet was loose from the floor, there was mildew buildup in the shower, stains on the sheets and some of the drawers on the dreeser wouldnt stay closed.

I liked it was close to the beach, but the linens were not clean and the place smelled really bad! I was there last year and it smelled like paint but this wasn’t a paint smell. I won’t stay there again.

Do NOT stay here! Pure filth! Dirty! The most dirtiest I have ever seen! Floors looked like they have Never been vacuumed! I was afraid to touch anything. I was afraid to lay in bed. So dirty, I feel like I need to go to the doctor for a check up!

Good location. Hotel is in process of being renovated so fitness room is not accessible. The toilet in room was not secured to the floor. No hot water or water pressure in shower. Also found roaches in the room.

Wallpaper was peeling off the walls and room numbers were handwritten in sharpie on the wall. Our room seemed oddly furnished- the bed wasn’t centered which made it look like we were missing furniture like either an armchair or another bed? The desk didn’t have a chair. Another guest in the elevator as we were leaving said they had bed bugs; we didn’t see any in our room. There was no hot water for showers.

Bed bugs. The hotel didn’t contact us like they said they would. The night manager said they would be in touch but we haven’t received a call. Other guests also had them in their room. The morning manager was so rude when I tried to ask if a manager was available.

Ok for a quick night - not everything is available
No Hot Tub - No Business Center :( We booked Country Inn & Suites because the pictures of the pool had a hot tub available. This hotel did not have a hot tub but did have an indoor swimming pool that was a cool 80(f) degrees. There was a sign in the pool area about the hot tub sauna like there was one before (???). I also booked this hotel because we were getting ready to go on a cruise and needed to print out our luggage tags. There was a room that said business center and there was a monitor, but no computer and no printer. Anyway, not the best hotel as it looks like it needs renovations, but we did have a good night's sleep. It is also a quick walk to the Pleasure Pire.
Sign for hot tub but there is no hot tub
Indoor pool is great, but not really warm, around 80(F).

Another one of those properties with lots of potential that is just being let down. Great location. Had to change the room as there was no hot water. The new room was supposed to be one of the "updated" ones....TV didn't work and took 30 mins to figure it out and find the remote that would operate (the TV is the smallest TV in the world). Shower curtain rod was falling off so the shower curtain would fall into the middle. After the shower, the whole bathroom was flooded. Shower head was so dirty and nasty that looked like it had never been cleaned. No cleaning service in the rooms or hallways (quite visible debris everywhere). Very, very basic property! Staff super nice and helpful, tried to make up for all the deficiencies.

It’s in a great location, you can walk to just about restaurant, or across the road to the beach. I spent 4 night here, and not once did I get house keeping service, no one emptied the trash, never received any fresh towels, and didn’t replace any of the coffee in the room. The TV didn’t work either when it did work it would freeze up in about 10 min like somebody pushed the pause button, the remote didn’t work if you wanted to change the channel you did it from the tv. The bed was horrible. It had a hole in you just kinda fell into. There was no guest laundry, the sign on the wall says there’s a guest laundry but it’s just a tease. Cockroach’s the building it is infested with them, we had several in our bathroom, and talked to others who had it a lot worse, and some checked out because of it. I paid on average 250 a night spent over $1000 for the days I was there. I would have gotten better service at a motel 6, save you money go else where. This place has potential to be an amazing hotel but until they get some money put into the staff and building I’d avoid it, I won’t be going back, and I visit Galveston every year. Good Luck
