This large gorgeous, yet quaint home features beautifully, modern and open space throughout with cozy furnishings and plenty of glorious natural light with tastefully decorated interior throughout to accommodate up to 18 people comfortably. Additionally, the spacious Patios front and back for both sun lovers and those who prefer the shade, with breathtaking views of the Ocean and the Beach is only a stone's throw away....

This 1st Floor is a terrific size with open layout for a family or group of close friends escaping to the Beach together. The Family Room has an Xlarge sectional, conversational seats throughout, large round table with 6 chairs and 6 barstools for the kitchen island. Plenty of seating for everyone! Full kitchen, equipped with all the necessary appliances, pots & pans, dishes and coffee & creamer with every stay.

2nd Floor Upstairs (kids space) Gameroom, Master Bedrooms 3 & 4 with King Beds & Ocean Views, Bunkrooms 5 & 6: This upstairs space with an awesome gameroom that is setup perfectly for the kids and family to have a little friendly competition game of Pool or Ping Pong...Good family bonding time! With additional large sectional seating, 2 tall tables & 4 matching stools in the gameroom for those who would like to observe and be near family. With plenty of seats, everyone will enjoy their time together!

3 Floor Observation Room: Great space to relax and getaway to read a book or your favorite magazine, play some board games with the kids, or snuggle up in a blanket. Great view of the Gulf of Mexico from high above.

Patios: With 2 Balconies with unobstructed ocean views of the Gulf of Mexico and the soothing sound of waves crashing against the shore set the scene for this tranquil oceanside getaway. Plenty of seating to enjoy the view! With a large round table and 6 chairs for outdoor dining, loveseat and 2 patio chairs, and a sectional for you to sit and enjoy the sun, and also an unobstructed view of Pleasure Pier.

Lots of Beach Toys including boogie boards, floaters, beach chairs & umbrellas, ice chests and a wagon are provided for you to use with care and at your own risk. Also, six bikes (various sizes) are available for $150/ weekend, 4 days or more $200. A community crossover bridge to the beach is a short walk away...

You certainly won't have to venture far from the House to experience all that Galveston has to offer! Thanks to this fabulous location mere steps away from the ocean, it's likely that you'll want to spend the majority of your trip lounging on Galveston's warm sandy beaches or swimming in the Gulf of Mexico. This property is by far the best location for visiting Galveston, in a small, quiet, gated community (gatecode required) which is located on the Gulf of Mexico side of the island, right next to Stewart Beach(best family beach in Galveston with volleyball courts and volleyball tournaments, sandcastle competition blocks away, concerts, and food truck events, helicopter tour pad, etc. all throughout the summer. Only 1.5 miles from Downtown Galveston (the Strand) and Historic Sites, 2 miles from Pleasure Pier (which you can see from the Patio) and next to the Seawall. The Galveston Seawall is a wonderful place to walk, bike, shop or simply relax while admiring the beachfront scenery, and it ends right next to the house. If you don’t know Galveston, this house is centrally located and is the best Galveston has to offer. You won’t be disappointed!

Everything and more !!

This property and the hosts are 10 out of 10.I'm not sure you can do any better. Location, accommodations, friendliness, cleanliness and wonderfulness. The first lady and I took our son and seven besties for his birthday 20th birthday. Four young ladies and four young men plenty of room while enjoying space, privacy and luxury. Every room amd everything was perfect. We couldnt have asked for anything more. Thank you Jamie and Jeff...... you spolied us all. Best always! The Couturier Family

Great location but needs a refresh

Great location, wonderful view, plenty of parking. Bedrooms were nice and beds comfortable . However some of house needs work , flooring cracked,gapped, sheets were thin and didn't fit well. Gas grill non working (host said they will replace so check if that happened) no ice machine in the fridge/freezer. Upstairs ac was broken as we checked in but host did a great job brining in portable units and replacing it the next day. Really can't beat the view from the porch. Lots of beach things like chairs toys etc to use.

Great House for our Beach Blitz soccer tournament!

We had 5 families staying together for the Beach Blitz soccer tournament on East Beach. The house was beautiful, spacious, and the layout was awesome for a large group, plenty of room and more than enough bathrooms, towels, and linens. Thr kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes that allowed us to cook large meals. The private beach was awesome and a short walk to the entrance. We had the best time!

Great House

A wonderful house with excellent views of the ocean. Lots of decks with plenty of sitting for groups and tables. Good grill. Beds were comfortable with quality bedding. All appliances worked and were in good condition. Air conditioning was great. Have nothing but good things to say. We enjoyed our time together!

A total Gem right on the beach!

the ultimate location for our extended weekend stay! Immaculate views of the beach, sunrise and sunset! The balcony views of the beach were unobstructed and gorgeous! Mice and mold

The home has a few major things and many smaller things that need attention. First there were mice in the kitchen and main floor bedrooms, with mice seen running across the kitchen counter and droppings every morning on the bed headboards and night stands. There were leaks in the roof upstairs that caused the couch in the game room to be damp our entire visit and a leak in one of the upstairs bedroom closets with what looked like mold growing. The game room pool table had pool sticks that were broken and the table itself had broken pockets and wasn't level. All of the paddles for ping pong were worn and tattered as well. The fans in the upstairs bedrooms did not work. Each room had remote controls for the fans but no batteries that fit the upstairs remotes. We requested batteries for the upstairs remotes but received the wrong size batteries delivered. When we reported the mice, we were told that the pest company would be coming after our visit. Additionally, the railing that led to the upstairs was not attached to the wall, the faucet in the main floor half bath was loose, the doors that led to both the upstairs deck and main floor decks were extremely sticky and difficult to open, the flooring on the main level had several cracked and broken areas, the golf cart would not start....there was so many of these type of things. Generally the property is over priced for the number of unmaintained items and infestation issues.

Review

The property itself was large and beautiful. The grill area which, our guests commented looked "slummy and trashy with dirty cushions piled on top of each other". Since the grill and beach chairs were included in the add, it was very disappointing. The grill was rusted and filthy and not fit to barbecue on. The chairs that we expected to be able to take to the beach (as advertised), were rusted out and unususable. This was extremely disappointing since we paid almost 10,000 with taxes and fees for 3 nights! We wound up asking a guest from Montgomery to bring chairs and purchase the rest. There were 13 of us. A big part of renting a beach house is to be able to enjoy the beach. We wound up with 6 chairs for our whole group. Since the house is large, beautiful and able to sleep 12 comfortably, we would like to visit again when the elevator is installed (2 of us are handicapped), and a new and clean grill is available in a clean and attractive lower patio. It would be nice to sit in a comfortable area while food is grilled. Otherwise, we ha e to lug barbecued food up 3 flights of stairs. In addition to resort appropriate beach chairs

Galveston Oceanfront house

Overall our stay was great. A lot of things were damaged or broken ,but the house was beautiful and well designed for large families.The view was amazing. We noticed mouse droppings on the first morning under the stove and contacted the host. Their response was quick and they sent a cleaner out. There were no more issues and we assumed the previous night storm had brought in a mouse. I would recommend this property.

This is a great house for a multi generational family or a group of friends! Lots of seating inside and out. Plenty of space to spread out. Convenient to the East end of Galveston. Views are spectacular!!! Will definitely stay here again!

Lovely spot along quiet beach

This was our favorite Galveston beach rental. Very nice house with a good setup for multiple families. Our teenagers loved the upstairs loft area with TV and a ping pong table. Adults all loved the comfy downstairs TV area with large windows looking out onto the beach. It’s in a quiet neighborhood. To get to the beach you walk about 5 minutes down the sidewalk to a wooden bridge with a code and then you’re at the beach. I liked that it felt very private and secure. It was nice to have some spices and condiments and extras like beach towels and beach toys. Definitely a winner of a house!

Beautiful with space for everyone

My husband and I had a large group of teenagers for a birthday weekend at the house. Lots of room to spread out in the house and the upstairs space was perfect for the kids hangout. The pool table got lots of use. I cooked 8 meals for 15 in the kitchen and had everything I needed including things like spices, tinfoil and plastic wrap. The location of the house is great. The kids all enjoyed the nearby pier while the adults had dinner at the porch cafe. Beach access is two houses down. There’s a green space out front of the house perfect for throwing the football around. Plenty of bath towels and even beach towels provided! We used the laundry room - detergent is also provided. The owner is very responsive. A great property perfect for a large group. I’d happily rent it again.

Great Beach House

One of our best rental experiences. Property met/exceeded the listing and associated pictures. Fully equipped from kitchen to bathroom suites to beach fun! Configuration was perfect for our 4 couples and two infants. Had some basic baby needs (pack n’ plays, bassinet, high chair). Beach access is an easy 10 minute walk from the house via private boardwalk. Wagon allows you to haul beach toys/games. Kroger is ~10 mins away to stock up. Owners were very nice/responsive on a couple simple questions we had. Definitely will stay here again.

One of our best Christmas family vacations EVER!!

This property exceeded our every expectation! The living area is roomy, the view of the Gulf from the decks is spectacular, the beds are comfortable, and there are plenty of high quality linens and towels. This Christmas vacation was my family's 10th, our first to Galveston. The beach provided constant entertainment, even in the winter! The kitchen was well equipped (the best I have experienced) with plenty of dishes, glasses and cookware/utensils. I can't think of anything in the kitchen that was lacking or needed to be added. We used the bicycles and some sand buckets that were in garage but there were many more beach toys available. The entry stairs has one low spot that is well marked and not a problem, just be aware. On the day of our arrival, Galveston experienced a rare low-temperature freeze. As a result, we stayed inside and played lots of games the first couple of days. We also cooked and ate most meals at the house! This house accomodated our large family perfectly inside and out!

Lovely house and location; construction and lack of TLC

Longtime friends with families converged from three different states to enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. At $1,587 a night this premium property came with a steep price (the highest of all considered) and we hoped it would be worth the money for this special gathering. The house indeed afforded a lovely spot on the beach! We were grateful for the beach cart to haul stuff back and forth for the short walk (about 100 yards). The owners were very kind and quick to respond to questions and needs. The house had a great spacious layout for a multi-family group like us - appreciated the large kitchen and living room, second floor with bunk rooms and pool/ping-pong table, large front decks, garage for parking rental cars. The double ovens were essential. As a coffee grinder was an item we desired, a new one was provided. Despite its youthful age and premium price, this house needs some TLC/investment: Upon arrival the clothes dryer and refrigerator ice maker were both inoperable. We helped the appliance serviceman carry the dryer in pieces down two flights of stairs. The owner offered us free laundry if we drove to a nearby laundromat; the dryer was returned in operating condition on day three of five. The ice maker remained inoperable and went twice to a local store to buy ice. Blinds did not operate correctly in at least two bedrooms, stuck in one position (less gulf view; less privacy) The bed frame on the second floor king bed was not properly assembled (parts on the floor under the bed); squeaked with every movement Pool table pockets falling apart, outdoor fireplace didn't work (nor indoor; it was unseasonably cold in Texas), wobbly legs on dining room chair, rusty beach chairs (most all of the "included" beach gear was in poor condition) Kitchen could use some additional tools - i.e. only one small whisk, not enough mixing bowls Fitted sheets with worn elastic; top floor window cracked Most importantly, this house could use disclosure that there is active construction occurring next door (about 12 feet away) on one side and one house away on the other. Thus, we were greeted with the sights and sounds of hammering, sawing and smoking; workers were actively framing the house next door with view down to the balcony areas of the rental house; watch out for nails on street and sidewalk. The neighborhood is largely undeveloped; construction will be present for some time; this is an important item for potential renters.

Amazing location

We rent a large house in Galveston yearly and I have to stay we felt the layout of the house was one of the best ever. The number of king bedrooms (and one queen) was perfect for multiple families. 2 bunkrooms for the kids allowed us to have a room for boys and girls! Everything we needed was in the house. Location was amazing! So close to the strand and everything downtown made a quick trip for ice cream completely do able! And you can't beat beach front. The views and beach access were incredible. The only downside was lots of construction in the neighborhood. (not at all the fault of the homeowner. it just was what it was but it was very loud because there is a new house going in right next door). The communication was excellent and the homeowners both responded to and took care of our needs immediately. Highly recommend!
