We've been visiting Galveston for years, and always book condos at The Victorian. This was, by far, my favorite condo that we've stayed in. The only thing that made our trip not enjoyable was the hours of the pool. I am an early riser and I got to drink my coffee on the patio, but then I was going to head to the pool for some relaxation and drink my coffee while it was quiet and it was closed til like 9:30 or 10 and the hot tub was closed as well .. sure hated that . The dishes that were supposed to be clean and ready for use were also very dirty. The property manager was helpful and very quick to respond to any issues and questions. The only complaint I had was the property wifi, it was very spotty if there was any connection. The check in process was easy and smooth. A hairdryer was listed as a provided item but I soon realized there wasn't one and so I contacted the phone number given and had good communication to get a hairdryer within a reasonable time. Located right next to a Walmart, gated community, and although you would still need to cross the street to get to the beach it is still super close. The ONLY huge impact of negative was that I was not able to control the air condition temperatures our whole stay. I am type 1 diabetic & heat effects me. As I cleaned the place leaving on the last day, the temp in the room was 79\. I contacted host & found out that 72 is the lowest setting. We loved that the ocean was just across the street and Walmart was right next door to us. Restaurants were close by as well. Check in was really easy and front desk was friendly.
