The property was in great condition and felt like a home away from home. We had plenty of space and all the amenities for the weekend to feel comfy and cozy. The house was easy to find along the Galveston Island and is located in a quiet neighborhood. Like most homes in Galveston the main living space is on the second floor with a long stair case to access. There are 2 large porches to spend some time with family and you can be in the shade at all times of the day. The inside of the house is nicely decorated and well stocked with everything we needed for our short stay. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms are large and well equipped and the laundry room was an added bonus! Everything was clean and ready for us upon arrival. Our only drawback of the trip was the mosquitoes so just make sure you put on spray before you take a walk, no matter what time of day/night. The beach is close by and was busy on this weekend but that was certainly due to the holiday. I would imagine it is a pretty quiet place most other times. Although we found a fun beach restaurant (Tipsy Turtle) the first night, access to a variety of restaurants and shopping is not near by so you will need to plan ahead for groceries and be willing to driving into Galveston where there are many good places to eat near the pier downtown. Could walk to the beach and be there in a few short minutes. Two large deck areas for nice viewing of sunrises, sunsets, and enjoying the outside.
