The Dolphin Poolside at The Dawn.
Spacious and inviting, The Dolphin will be your happy place! Located directly across from the beach with a view of the heated pool. Very close to shopping, restaurants, and attractions. The Dolphin, in the Dawn Condominium Complex, is a beautifully furnished 1 bedroom, 1 bath condo that can sleep 5 comfortably. The master suite features a king size bed with luxury linens, soft comfortable pillows. Large soft towels are provided for your convenience and a 40" HD Google TV in the Master Bedroom.
The sunny living room features queen sleeper sofa, 50" Roku TV, basic cable available for your use. Adjacent to the living room is an exterior patio with unobstructed view of the heated pool and outdoor dining for 4\. There is also a twin rollaway located in the large master closet along with beach toys, beach towels, and beach chairs for your convenience.
The dining room has table for seating for 4, with a desk and office chair area. The kitchen is fully stocked; smooth top electric stove, oven, microwave, Keurig coffee maker with K cups provided, regular coffee maker with coffee and filters provided, garbage disposal, dishwasher, refrigerator with large freezer, blender, cookware, silverware, glassware and dish place-settings. Tupperware, bowls, measuring cups, and other cooking utensils provided.
Full sized washing machine and electric dryer are located in the unit, adjacent to the kitchen.
The Dawn is secure facility with all doors and gates opened with codes. A wrought iron fence surrounds the property to ensure your privacy and security. Ample (fee-based) parking is available on the property as first come first serve. Beautifully landscaped grounds with 2 available pools (one heated), a hot tub, community center, charcoal grills and exercise lounge. Babe's Beach is right across the street, with access from the stop light at the corner of the property. Parking pass is purchased separately at The Dawn office for $40 for a 1-3 night stay or $50 for 4 or more nights. The Dawn Condominiums was awarded Best Condominium Rental on the Island for 2023\.

The condo is super cute. The pic of the second bed is a little deceiving. I thought it was in a little nook or small room but it's actually the master bedroom closet. Even so, the condo was nice. The bedroom mattress is super hard. I still would recommend staying here. It overlooks a very nice pool and is close enough to the beach to walk.

The Dolphin at The Dawn Condominiums is a great little spot in Galveston. You are right by the pool, beach, Walmart, and numerous dining options are also within walkable distance. One could also use the Galveston trolley system for $1 per rider to go anywhere you want (ex: Pleasure Pier, Moddy's Resort, Downtown Galveston, etc). It picks up at numerous places right there on the main drag in front of condos (Seawall Blvd). We did not rent a car and we had zero issues accessing anything we wanted in the area. The property owner (Julie) is a wonderful host and also a great communicator. I had myself and four teenagers with me (3 boys/ 1 girl) My daughter stayed in the little closet bedroom so she had her little private area. The condo is clean, well equiped/furnished, safe, and having a washer and dryer was extremely helpful and convenient. We stayed for three days before our cruise and used Lyft XL for our short ride to the cruise port. The Dolphin is great and so is the woman who owns the place (Julie Skora). I believe she owns two properties at the Dawn if one is taken when you are looking to book. Just message her and she responds rapidly. Please also be aware the property will charge a $40 parking/amenities fee for 1 to 3 days and I believe its $50 if you stay 4 plus days. There are a couple nice pools, BBQ areas, and a clubhouse with a little gym to use. Great little place. Five stars from us. Thank you for having us Julie :)

Loved the condo. Several little discoveries that made us smile from decorations to a little treasure chest with chocolate coins. Everything we needed was there. Only surprise was that the condo administrators require you to buy a one time 40 paying pass that covers the duration of your stay (this is not included in the VRBO cost). Something to plan for.But all in all we had a great time and would go back here. It’s great to be across the street from the beach.

The property was clean, the condo was clean,beds was uncomfortable though. The 2 bedroom listed on the pictures was actually a large closet! I would never have rented this condo had I not thought it was a room. That was disappointing my mother was going to come buy did not have a place to sleep. Other than this we enjoyed the property and location. Very convenient to beach and pool.

Loved the location, the condo, the host and the office people at The Dawn. The condo was well appointed for 2 and the grounds and pool were well kept. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable. The king bed was comfy too. That is rare in any rental. When I return to Galveston I will stay there again. This was our second time staying at the Dawn Condominiums, first time at the Dolphin. It was a great experience. The condo had everything we needed and the king bed was comfortable for us! The location of the condo is in between both pools and right across the street from Babe’s beach.

We stayed at The Dawn for about a week in July 2023 and the location was perfect. It was right across the street from the beach and right next to a Wal-Mart which was very convenient. The pools, hot tub, and the grounds were kept up beautifully and the front desk made getting our pool bands simple and were so friendly and helpful. The condo itself had everything you needed and was clean and a perfect place to stay for a week. This will be our go to place when staying in Galveston!

My daughter and I had a wonderful time staying at The Dolphin! The Dawn staff made check-in easy, and our host had everything we needed in the condo, including beach toys. The washer/dryer was super handy, and the close location to the beach allows sea breeze to cool off the pool areas (works best in the shade). If you want the beach, you go out the gate door and cross the street where there's a seawall staircase - super simple! We hope we can return soon!

Very clean. We had everything we needed. Easy access to pool and beach. Good location!
