Providing the perfect blend of history and modernity, Monkey Business is a 1900 Storm Survivor, while featuring an EV Charger to meet the new world of visitors coming to Galveston Island. Upon arrival, you'll be drawn straight to the backyard oasis, where you can lounge by the pool or sip your favorite beverage in the summer breeze. With outdoor lights illuminating both the front and back yards, family gatherings and cherished memories are practically guaranteed. Inside, the chef in your group will adore the well-appointed kitchen, complete with a butler's pantry and wine fridge. And when it's time to unwind, there's no shortage of entertainment options - from board games and books for all ages. The primary bedroom boasts a luxurious king-size bed and its own smart TV, while the secondary bedroom offers a queen-size bed and equal comfort. Meanwhile, the bunk room is a kids' paradise, with two twin over twin bunk beds, cozy bean bags, and, of course, TV with streaming capability. With a washer and dryer at your disposal, keeping up with laundry is a breeze, leaving you more time to enjoy all the fun Monkey Business has to offer. No pets allowed Vendors have access to the homes on their scheduled day. Service days have the possibility of changing. However there were a few things that need attention. The gates are falling off the hinges, one bedroom's ceiling fan didn't work,another the light didn't work. The window in the main upstairs bathroom was shattered with the decal coming off, the front porch swing was also broken. We asked if it was possible to check in early (around 2pm instead of 4pm) and were advised that the house had not been cleaned yet and we could pay an additional $75 to get the cleaners out early. We didn't bother as we decided to go for a late lunch instead. However when we arrived at the property (around 4.30pm) the downstairs smoke alarm was giving out the low battery signal - a beep every 30 seconds and a low battery voice message every 2-3 minutes. I found it strange that the cleaners had not reported this considering they were meant to have been out that afternoon! However, they did get the groundstaff out and it was fixed the following morning. This aside the house was very nice, and in a good area, walking distance to cafes and to the beach. After checking out I received an email regarding the damaged bathroom window as apparently the ground staff/cleaners had not reported this. I advised that it was like that and reported the additional issues. I was thanked for replying but between that and the additional fee for early entry I felt it was more of a money grab and not the customer service received from previous VRBO stays ##### Carol B. It rained the whole time we were in Galveston, but that didn’t put a damper on the swimming 😆 Our kids loved the pool and being able to spread out in the spacious house. It was spotless, and comfortable. We just had a hard time w/ back and forth communication, but nothing went wrong, so wasn’t much of an issue!! We’d stay again for sure! ##### justin and michaela m.
