This multi-level, three-bedroom rental is just a couple blocks away from Termini-San Luis Pass Road, one mile up from Galveston Island State Park for hiking, birdwatching and swimming, and only 12 miles from the historic heart of Galveston for shopping, dining, and entertainment. Bright, inviting, and thoroughly updated, this beachfront home has hardwood floors, colorful furnishings and accents, and numerous windows offering breathtaking, panoramic views of the water. Feel instantly at ease in the upstairs living room with plush leather furniture, multiple ceiling fans, a warming electric fireplace, access to a private balcony with a romantic porch swing, and, of course, spectacular views through a wall of large, Gulf Coast-facing windows. On the lower level (down a spiral staircase), there's a seating area, a dining area for six, and an open, fully-equipped kitchen with a host of essential accessories. You'll have a variety of top-of-the-line, stainless steel appliances including a French door refrigerator with an ice maker, a range, microwave oven, coffee maker, and dishwasher. Of course we walked along the beach a few times but spent most of our time telling stories and laughing while hearing and watching the ocean and the seagulls… a perfect backdrop! Right on the beach with the most amazing views. Sunrise and sunsets and all day viewing. Great porches and outdoor seating. Spent the week outside on the porch. Home is older and smaller inside but perfect for our family of 5\. Kitchen was great and had all that we needed. Needs a really good cleaning as it was very dusty. Needs additional bedding but had a great stack of bath towels! Lots of sand toys in garage for kids to play with. Bring pillows and extra blankets. Bring your own cleaning spray. The kids rooms will be a bit tight, but the excitement of the kids getting to play on the beach will tire them out. The house is right on the beach which is very convenient, sunsets and sunrises are spectacular. As a retired Merchant Mariner the upstairs living room made me feel like I was on the wheelhouse of a ship. Bring binoculars and beach chairs. About the title of the review, I think we counted 83 different camels in the house, but we may have missed some. Game on! ##### Julie N. Apr 23, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Ok place: several pros, some cons The place is cute and right next to the beach, we left our stuff on the sand and came back for meals and bathroom breaks. The deck is great for a morning coffee and lunches. If you plan to be outside taking in nice weather, its a very nice place. Many beds available, and a great view from the 2nd story common room and balcony. The bathrooms are a bit small to share with a whole family traveling, but doable. The couple roaches we saw were off-putting, but hopefully management takes care of that asap. Had to buy laundry soap. Unfortunately, the biggest con was that we found the beds to be quite creaky and uncomfortable. The kids slept fine, but us adults did not sleep so well. A little updating and maintenance, and this would be a very nice spot for a small family to stay. ##### Nate and Christina R.
