Shuttle to cruise ship and just one night stay

The shuttle was very convenient. Driver kind, helpful and very prompt! Will stay there again if coming back to Galveston.

This hotel is close to the beach and Pleasure Pier

Pros: It was close to the beach and to Pleasure Pier.
The hotel needs a lot of updating. The carpet everywhere needs replacing. The pool and hot tub are TINY and the water did not look clean! The breakfast left A LOT to be desired. The coffee was always empty.

Horrible service

Cons: Service is horrible
I booked a room for $120/night & expedia confirmed weeks ahead. When I arrived the hotel had my reservation cancelled and they had no rooms. I had to spend the night in a hotel that cost $250/night due to area sold out then the next day the same original hotel had 1 of my 2 rooms reserved but refused to work with me or expedia. They claim my card didn't go through but my reservation was for 1 reservation for 2 rooms not 2 separate room, and no one decided to call me and tell me.

Guest happiness not a priority

Manager was rude. Housekeepers were helpful and kind. Pool was dirty. No hangers for 2 closets, said they didn't have any. Manager rented parking out to cruise ship guests which required parking down the street. Elevators constantly broken. It's a 5 story hotel. Business center is an old computer with broken printer. Not even close to worth the cost.

Place to sleep.

First I would like to say that I very rarely leave reviews. When I do it is because of an exceptional experience or one that we were less than satisfied with. There was a large stain as we walked into our room that looked like blood. Both beds had dirty sheets that obviously had not been changed from previous guests stay. Spoke to the gentleman at the desk & he apologized & offered to change us to a different room. We decided on clean sheets & change them ourselves. Breakfast on a scale of 1 to 10 would be a 3. Both toasters were broken, warm items were not tasty & empty pastry areas. The parking is VERY limited. You have to park on the street if you don't get a spot in the small lot. Keys would not work at the pool. One of the two elevators made horrible screeching sounds. After breakfast we went to our room to find none of our keys worked. Went to front desk, she rekeyed our keys. Went back to our room only to find that still none of our keys worked. Another trip to the front desk and she finally got them to work. The fire alarm went off 3 times during the night. There were no fires. The morning girl at the front desk wasn't customer oriented, she was very slow and didn't seem to know what she was doing. The gentleman the night before was the exact opposite, the hotels inside appearence is clean, location is across from the seawall & a short walk to pleasure pier.

One night stay

This is a very nice hotel but the elevator smelt very bad. Other than that it was good. Very close to the beach so you can walk instead of payinh for parking.
