Nice hotel on seawall

Very clean hotel. Staff was cordial. Rooms are as presented on site. Breakfast is good. Walking distance of several restaurants and the Pleasure pier.

Nice hotel close to the beach

A very nice hotel with a great breakfast. The room was big and comfortable. The hotel is only a block from the beach and a couple of blocks from the pier. The only two negatives were the condition of the hall carpets (worn and a bit smelly) and no jets in the Jacuzzi.

Room was so bad I did not sleep with the top blank on, it look like it had not been clean in years, if ever. Room stunk, had stains on the carpet & walls, holes in bath room door & a door off of cabinet. This hotel looks great from the pictures but that was a lie. would not have stayed the night if the room was not already paid for. will never go back here.

Short walk to the beach

Pros: Location. Room clean, bed comfortable, Hot breakfast each morning. Fresh fruits, hot & cold cereal, waffles, eggs, sausage.
Cons: Staff clean tables in dining room more frequently during breakfast.
Location: There's lots to do in Galveston. Besides the beach there is shopping, Lone Star Museum, lots of different seafood restaurants, Moody Gardens, etc....
Walk out the door & across the street to the beach. Decent view from balcony. The price was very good.

Ok hotel on beach front

Beach front was right across the Seawall BLVD from the hotel. Staff was friendly. Check in was very quick. Plenty parking spaces, may be less so on weekend. Room was ok and clean. Breakfast was average. There are many good restaurants closed by. We did not go into water since it was not very clean. If you are into swimming, go to Corpus Christi or Mustang Island. Jet boat drive ( 25mins , $30/ person), sunset cruise ( 2 hrs, $25) were awesome .So call Famous duck tour was a waste of time and money. All in all, even though it could be better, we did enjoyed the 2 days here

Black mould on the bathroom wall and tub

Cons: clean and fumigate
Location: location was good because there were attractions nearby and places to eat
Black mould found on the outside of bathroom tub enclosure and inside the tub around the shower stall wall. Hotel staff would not discount rate even though pictures were shown to them of the mould. Hotel staff member tok my name and number down and stated the manager would call me to discuss this further, the manager never contacted me. The carpets were heavily stained as well

Close to beach.

Pros: Location.
Very good location but check in was not good. We arrived at 2:45 and there were no rooms ready. We were given a handicap room. There were 3 couples waiting to check in after us. The desk clerk took my drivers license and credit card and ran around the hotel with them in her hand looking for the housekeeper. When we checked out she said my receipt would come by email. I still don't have a receipt and that worries me.

Priced to high, dirty

Pool not useable because it was to cold to use. Ice machine not working on 5th floor. Carpets throughout dirty. The view and location are great
