Mold

We got in late on the first night and went straight to bed so we didn't notice the spot on the ceiling over the bed. We had a hard time sleeping when the vent from the air conditioner began dripping on the bed early in the morning though. We then noticed there was mold on the ceiling around the vent. There was also mold in the pool area around the sprinklers. The hotel staff was extremely accommodating, but it then continued to concern me because I saw mold.

The hotel staff was rude when THEY made a mistake and refused to own up to it, they charged me for an extra night and refused to refund. Terrible experience.

The hotel made a mistake and booked me for a room I didn't ask for and then refused to refund me for it. Never will stay here OR book through expedia again!

The location was great in relation to the beach, but we couldn't get our room cleaned in a timely manner to save our lives. We were traveling with a toddler so she of course needed a mid-day nap. Linens never got changed, trash was never taken out, and we had to find housekeeping to exchange towels daily. The continental breakfast was decent enough to not starve until lunch, but the milk for the cereal was ALWAYS luke warm. Eggs, sausage, potatoes, and chicken fingers were microwaved and tasted as such. And the coffee, bleh. They must be saving a ton of money on it because it tastes like they use about a teaspoon of grounds to one carafe. Overall, it was quiet and comfortable for the price but I'd prefer to invest a little more money to stay in hotel that had a more dependable maid service. Toddlers are messy, and so stayed our room.

Great Location

The hotel is in a great location....close to beach and walking distance to many restaurants and shops. All rooms have their own balcony. The morning breakfast included waffles, scrambled eggs, and seasoned potatoes, along with other items like cereal, oatmeal, and pastries. I would stay here again if we ever get back to Galveston.

Filthy room, disgusting pool, rude staff

Room was so dirty, we wouldn't let our kids take their shoes off. Indoor pool was covered with slimy, brown grunge. No manager on site to handle our issues. We tried to give it a chance but checked out after 1 hour and staff refused a refund or to put us in touch with a manager. Stayed at many hotels and this is by far the most disgusting and with the worst customer service ever. Desk person walked with us to see the room and said they couldn't refund because we "used" the room, when all we used was a washcloth to dry our hands after washing the filth off.

CHEAP AND OUTDATED

Pros: Location. Breakfast wasn't horrible.
Cons: This place needs cleaned. Replacing or cleaning the carpets would be a great idea, fixing door handles, and cleaning furniture.
Location: Pleasure Pier is less than 3 blocks away!!! The beach is right across the street with a very convenient crosswalk.
The room we had, myself and 3 teenagers, shared a double queen room. The carpets were filthy and the seat of the chair was stained. The exterior door handle to the balcony was broken and barely stayed on. The room was miserably hot. However, the bathroom was updated and the beds weren't terribly uncomfortable. The hallways were dirty at all times, its like housekeeping wouldn't even attempt to pick up trash. The pool water was green and there were never enough towels. Check in/check out was easy, however, i was supposed to get a $30 amazon gift card and still have yet to get that. Wonder who's responsibility that it---hotel or expedia? Super glad it was close to the beach, had a decent view, and there is a trolley stop at the corner. Parking lot is not monitored by cameras.

Cons: Rooms are a bit tired looking. Worn
Location: Good location. Easy waking to many Restaurants.
The hotel is in a good location but the rooms are a little worn and I didn't think the hotel was that clean.

Disappointed

The hotel was dirty!!The hotel was understaffed and the front desk attendant was soo rude!!!The room was missing the basics !No ice bucket ,trash can ,pillows or linen for pullout (two towels for room for 6)!the attendant at front desk was so rude when we went to ask for basics !!He was even ruder to my fiancé ,she said he almost scolded her and was talking down to her !!If I would have known ,I would have had my own discussion with him about how to treat women with respect!!He told us he had no cribs ,then housekeeper amazingly found one in the supply room!The indoor pool was filthy and reeked of heavy chlorine !Stayed there a few years ago,was wonderful experience!!Obvioously declined !!Very disappointed!
