We've been scoping out different complexes, in preparation for buying a unit at some point. This was our firsy stay at Captain's Cove, and I would definitely consider buying there.We found it to be very chill/quiet. Parking was extremely convenient. And the location is ideal, easy access via Stewart Road if you prefer to avoid the Seawall traffic. It doesn't take long to get to I-45, but you're also far enough west that you can easily get to the state park, and the less touristy restaurants down that way (Venado's etc.)The host did a good job of communicating. I was confident I would get a quick response if any issue arose. But there were no such issues, which is always what you really hope for. Check-in / check-out was as smooth as could be.The view from the balcony was lovely. We didn't use the pool (because it was February). The kitchen had everything we needed, there were plenty of towels and even some blankets that came in handy.We would definitely stay here again. ##### Brian B. The sunrises and sunsets were lovely from the balcony. The main road (Seawall Blvd) is very busy even in the off season, so there is loud road noise heard from the balcony and pool most of the time. The condo is very well insulated so it’s quiet inside as long as the doors and windows are shut. The interior is nicely decorated and the beds are comfortable. It was clean with only a few items broken or missing. Most of the cooking essentials were provided, but things like baking sheets and a can opener were missing. Great place for working remotely! Stable and high speed internet with zero issues the whole week, even with multiple Zoom calls. The built in desk in the master bedroom was a perfect place to work. Parking at the condo was free and the elevator works. Great location to stay for people wanting to explore all that Galveston has to offer since it’s quick and easy to drive to all the best restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and shopping areas. For those wanting to walk, there are a few restaurants less than a mile away and lots of mini marts. Galveston Brewing Company is less than a mile down the street (it has a playground for kids) so we easily walked there with my toddler. It’s also less than a mile from a huge park with a playground. Balcony overlooked the pool and the beach. Was amazing to walk across the street to walk along the beach during sunrises and sunsets.
