We are a city within Galveston city limits, which means we have our own police force and fire department, making Jamaica Beach one of the safest beaches on the island. Unlike all other beaches in Galveston, loud music is not tolerated and that makes for a very peaceful and relaxing vacation. Our house is located beachfront, we are the 3rd house from the state park. The beach is just a few steps away and if you prefer a less travelled beach, the state park is a great place to set up your beach chairs. The house features high vaulted ceilings making the open floor plan ideal for family and friends. The house has recently been renovated with all new walls and 2 completely renovated bathrooms. The bathrooms have brand new tile floors, new "Toto" toilets, new showers and bath tub. The large front deck has been rebuilt with Trex composite deck boards so there is no chance of getting annoying splinter on your feet or hands. My family did not like the house swayingfrom side to side. The fact that this house had no washer dryer was a huge negative. There was a total of 8 of us for 6 nights and with no washer and dryer it was brutal. There was no tv's in the living room and with 3 kids wanting to watch kid shows in the evening with only 1 tv to share was also brutal. If you're lokking for a house with a beach vibe this is not the house for you. The only time you'll get the vibe is when you look out the window. The entire place is dated.
