Great for large family beach get away.
This house is perfect for a large family or a big group of friends. We had 12 and the house as very comfortable for all of us. The home was clean with newer linens and pillows and fully stocked with enough plates, cups, cooking pans and utensils. We had plenty of towels and were able to all get a shower one after the other which is normally hard with that many people. Most houses we stayed at we would have to bring our own extra towels or wait to shower for hot water. The outside area is private and perfect for kids to Play and a great place to prep food and eat at the outdoor table. It’s also fully covered so you can enjoy time outside if it rains while you’re on your trip like it did with us. The outdoor shower was great to have to wash all sand off before you head inside and the little kids really enjoyed the pool. Only thing that I wish we had were hangers for closets. We had a lot of clothes with so many people and it was a little overwhelming living out of suitcases. Otherwise our trip was great and we will keep this house in mind for our next trip out that way!

Description lacking major details
Overall we enjoyed our stay but would choose to stay somewhere else next time. The house was very well cleaned and communication with the host was very prompt. However, we felt the listing left our major details. The bedroom located down the “hallway” was actually downstairs located off the outdoor area separate from the house. The kitchen was poorly stocked including lacking potholders to take things out of the oven and basic necessities for cooking. It is also important to bring your own toilet paper and paper towels as they provide only a very limited amount. These things were not found in the description or information provided by the host. Some of the previous reviews mentioned issues with bugs but that was not a problem for us.

Great family vacation
The home was recently updated and had plenty of room for everyone. the downstairs patio area was fun and relaxing. The Cowboy pool was a plus. Overall, we all had a great time and would recommend others to stay, and we would like to stay again.

Poorly maintained and unuseable facilities
The home was large and checkin was easy. After that, it was all downhill. The area downstairs adverised as an out door family area had a broken faucet and none of the electric lights or plugs worked There was trash and bits of bone and shh everywhere The upstairs shower leaked directly icer the downstairs patio atea making jt difficult to use The pool filtration system wasnt working either The interior if the house was dirty The sofa had holes and disgusting stains There were roaches throughout the kitchen an baths We went to make coffee in the coffee maker and roaches crawled out The beds had no mattress pads The bathrooms had mold in the corners and the bath tubs were dirty. I communicated immediately with the property manager they responded quickly but could not repair the sink and electric until halfway through our stay They did not fix the shower drain or address the roaches Overall, we were very disappointed and will likely not use VRBO again

Where to begin. Roaches everywhere, we had roaches climbing on kids in the middle of the night. The listing stats 4 bedrooms 3 bathrooms, but what it fails to mention is that one of the bedrooms ( the one with 2 beds) is outside and the bathroom is also outside. The bedroom that is outside has mold and is unusable. When you use the bathroom upstairs, water falls into the 1st floor backyard. The oven didnt work, the sink in the backyard was broken and cannot be used. Rhe garage is full of trash and construction debris, it cannot be used. The pictures are not what this house look like. If you want to enjoy your vacation DO NOT STAY here, is hazardous and dangerous. I would expect someone form VRBO to contact me in regards of a refund.

Roach Infested
The house is in a great location and that's the only good thing about it. Shortly after we arrived we realized there was a roach infestation. I'm not talking about the expected big flying water roaches that you'd expect on the coast. There were tons of German roaches inside the house. They're all over the kitchen and bathrooms. Within 5 minutes of setting the pizza we ordered on the counter there were roaches in it and we had to toss it along with other food we'd brought. There were roaches (full size and babies) in the drawers, cabinets, under the fridge, in the toilet paper rolls, on the dishes, etc. It was absolutely disgusting. The property manager said they'd send the maintenence crew to come spray but they never came. We spent a lot of money to stay here for a weekend and half my family (including me) were terrified to go to sleep at night. I would not recommend wasting your money staying at this house unless you're ok with sharing it with nasty, dirty roaches.

Pros: The owner responds quickly to questions/concerns The house is cute Cons: Lots of roaches. The owner did say they treat for pest control regularly. However, the roaches we saw were German roaches. You need to treat differently for those The paint is peeling on the primary bathroom door. Also what appears to be rust below the faucet in the primary bathtub The bed frames are very thin and mattresses are lumpy. However, we did expect a lumpy mattress since so many have stayed here You have to pay $100 to use the community pool The beach is within driving distance and you can't hear the waves Some of the flooring is coming up in the living room

Weekend getaway
Rented this property for a little relaxation time. Good location if you don’t want to stay near the traffic along the Seawall. Still close enough if you want to head that way and be in the middle of it. Access to the beach is less than a two minute drive by vehicle or golf cart. Very spacious living quarters.

Cruise Eve Stay
We booked this property for our cruise group to all stay together. The neighborhood was really fun. We had dinner down at the marina and watched the sunset. We had a few drinks and listened to live music before heading back to the house. However, the downstairs bedroom was unbearably musty and moldy smelling. We were unable to use this room in the house and had to improvise sleeping arrangements. We made it work! The patio area was really cool but our stay wasn’t long enough to enjoy. We would stay here again.

Nice beach town getaway
Property was very accommodating for a large group. The down stairs/patio/grill area was awesome to sit around and catch up. Probably our groups favorite part of the property. The host was very communicative making sure we arrived and checked in without any troubles. It is kind of a ways out from the main attractions of Galvestion, but we didn't mind taking the drive into town. Would definitely stay again.

The property is nice but had a few things that needs attention. Not so bad we couldn't stay there. Maintenance was right on top of things we needed fixed. The stairs were hard on my spouse who has knee problem. Specially hauling our stuff up. We stayed three weeks. Patio downstairs needed hosed out so we didn't track dirt to the beds downstairs. Had to walk through patio to go to the bathroom/ shower downstairs. Not a problem for me. Just tracking dirt to bed after shower was. The yard is fenced with a section of grass to play with our dog. He was able to stay down there when we went out. Place had good restaurant / bar nearby and walking distance to beach. Could see beautiful sunsets. Overall, besides a few minor problems, it was a great stay. Plenty of room.

Nice house good trip
We stayed there for a weekend once we arrived the house was very clean and spacious, and it had plenty of cups plates and silverware and about every kitchen item you would need. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. The deck downstairs is very big it makes for a great area to hangout and have a good time. I would recommend!

Fabulous family vacation property!
My family and I have stayed in many VRBO's around Galveston Island. This was our first time at Sea Isle and it did not disappoint. Family friendly beach. Away from the Seawall crowds. This particular property just added to the fun! Here are my pros and cons of this property: Pros: - Fast/easy check-in to the property - Property mgt/owner was very responsive - Comfortable and clean - Lovely beach decor - GREAT water pressure in the bathrooms - Kitchen had every utensil, pots/pans you would need - Plenty of towels for a large group - Close to the public beach parking - Quiet neighborhood - Close to "The Marina" and restaurant/bar (great food!) - FAST wifi (had to work from here on Friday... no problems) Cons: - Mattresses on all the beds are hard/firm (not my preference) - Each bed has a thin coverlet; bring your own blankets - Only one pillow per person; bring yours if you like two - Downstairs bedroom is very musty; my adult kids wouldn't sleep there (a/c in that room is AWESOME though) - Downstairs bathroom was musty smelling too, but the tile is GORGEOUS and the water presser was fantastic - There are broken boards and ripped screens in spots which was a little unsightly - Needs some touch-up paint here and there around the baseboards and caulking around the tub/shower - property is showing its age a bit Overall, we would DEFINITELY stay here again. This is a great property! The best part for me is the downstairs patio. We spent a lot of time out here socializing with family. This aspect of the property is unique and makes this property very special.

Stayed for an extended weekend to visit with family passing through the area to celebrate my birthday. The house itself is lovely. Very well decorated. The outside living area was great for entertaining. Only downside was that the downstairs bedroom was so strongly musty-smelling, that we could not use it, so had to find other accommodations for some of our family at a hotel further into Galveston. Notified the manager/owner about the issue, but they never responded to the email. The downstairs restroom we found the last day there, as it’s tucked via a separate door behind the house. While the accommodations in the main house was lovely, it wasn’t quite what we expected from the pictures and description.

We stayed over New Years. The location was just as described, and was well stocked with all the necessities. The downstairs room was ok, but It did get pretty cold when the weather changed. I don’t believe there is a heat option for it, so it might be something to keep in mind.

HORRIBLE! Roach Infested!!!
I requestied a one night refund for leaving a day early and needing to sleep somewhere else for comfortability. This was done for the following reasons, as well as the reasons indicated that was sent upon my arrival and more concerns sent after the first night there. • Roaches in bathroom and kitchen. I am finding that I am having to address this issue in my bags now that I am at another location. They are in our suitcases now. When I told The host, Russell Griffin. He said he had just had the house treated and that's why they were there. They were small baby roaches and I sent him pics as soon as I saw them. (Pics sent to host) . • Refrigerator ruined the majority of our food because it does not cool at the proper temperature. Baby milk was not usable. The issue about the refrigerator was told to us in notes emailed the day of check in. We had to buy bags of ice and coolers to keep to try and keep our Thanksgiving food cold, as well as the baby milk. . Something we needed to know prior to booking/arriving. • Sofa was dirty and soiled with stains. We had to buy sheets to cover it before sitting or laying on it. (Pics sent to host) • Oven and stove top was not operable when we arrived. For whatever reason, the plug in the wall is not secure. I told the host that I would have my son I. Law look at it when he arrive that night. He managed to get it to work temporarily but it would not work consistently. • Towel bar missing from bathroom that left tacky holes and screws that was such an an eye sore. (Pic sent to host) • Broken wooden pickets in deck area that created a huge safety issue. (Pic sent to host) • Beds on floor in outside patio were not usable. Room had a strong musty stench and stirred up allergies the first two hours to sleep. • Some outlets in the house did not work. • Vent in bathroom doesn't work. Created quite an inconvenience when showering. • All beds, except king size, were EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE. • Advertised to accommodate 14 people. This can not be done comfortably. The description was misleading with all the fancy words when it should have warned the guest about the refrigerator being an oversized cooler, thin mattresses on beds and sofa needs cleaning, etc. I was told I would get a partial refund because we had to check out early after a roach crawled on my grandchild. The host has not done that or responded anymore after saying that. I have written four times.

Issues surfaced at 5:30 am on first morning of our stay. • The ground floor double bed and single bed were unusable due to the failure of the window air conditioning unit and 90+ degree temperatures • The ground floor bathroom was unusable due to the lack of lighting • The Internet system was inoperable • The television service would work perhaps 20% of the time • During the stay, the refrigerator, the washer, the dryer, the microwave, and the oven would only work intermittently. Reliability of any of the appliances was 15-25% • The upstairs air-conditioner would operate, at best, 40%, of the time • Lights, hairdryers, curling irons, and other appurtenances could not be used without disrupting power to major appliances • Due to the lack of air-conditioning, members of our family slept on couches rather than in the advertised beds. On the next to last day of our stay an electrician showed up. He had no remedy since the house needed rewiring and would require city permits. We were leaving the next morning. Very disappointed with owner and VRBO.

Could have been better!
Code for keypad did not work. Doorknob was broken and front door was open. Did not get fixed until following day so someone had to stay behind every time we left. Place was a little small for our group of 8 adults and 5 children. Fourth bedroom and third bathroom are detached from main house. Outside bedroom smelled like a cellar and the bathroom was outside around the corner from bedroom. Patio area needed a ceiling fan and treated for flies and mosquitos. Beach area was great though. Not crowded at all.

Awesome beach house close to the beach.
Our group of 15 enjoyed our stay at the sea isle beach house. The house was well equipped with everything you needed. Had great communication with the owner Russell.

Fiesta & Siesta
End of the school year fiesta with our kids and a few of their friends. Everyone enjoyed the home, especially the patio and outdoor bar. The house was clean, and exactly as pictured. The beach was a short walk away, but we rented golf carts and had a blast.

Great property.
We enjoyed our stay. Had a party of 10 adults and one infant and there was plenty of room/space. The tiki bar was really nice and we cooked out on here grill. The only issues was the fridge was not cooling properly and we did not realize that it some type of fuse that had went out and needed to be reset. Other than that I would most definitely recommend.

Just as described! My family of 12 came for a mini getaway, kind of a staycation, and everyone decided we had to come back this summer too! The patio downstairs is the perfect place to spend evenings relaxing and cooling down from hot days on the beach. We made margaritas and grilled, watched an Astros game and had an all around great time. Thanks for the stay!

Everything was great
Our stay was great! All of my friends really enjoyed themselves. The only downfall was the electricity was not working properly and kept flickering on us due to an issue with center pointe. We contacted Russel, and they got back to us quick. Besides the power constantly shutting off on us, it was a great visit

Amazing, cozy, fun house!
Came here for my birthday weekend with my friends and family! It was so close to the beach! And only a little ways from Galveston! We had the best time here! It’s such a cute, cozy house! The beds were so comfy and the outside area with the tiki bar is super fun! Will be back again!

Unexpected setup, overall good stay
Overall, we had a good stay after some initial surprise over the ground floor bedroom and bathroom (the room with two low beds). We had initially planned for an expecting couple with a 1 year old to stay in that room and it was basically a musty smelling, locked partial garage with concrete floors and a low ceiling. It was also completely separated from the nice, clean, atmosphere upstairs. We ended up putting all three families upstairs because it was not a suitable situation especially for young kids or a pregnant mama to stay in that room or to walk outside to use the bathroom. The mosaic tile bathroom is not connected and is more of an outdoor bathroom located outside of the outdoor tiki bar under the house. Once we got over the rooming situation, we enjoyed the comfort of the upstairs portion of the house, easy access to the beach (about a 5 min walk), and the ability to allow all three of our dogs with ease as well as the nice big porch for the kids to play on that had a gate at the top of the stairs for safety.
