#### One of France’s most iconic shopping centres now has a location in Doha for those looking for a taste of Paris in the Middle East.

Doha is much loved by shoppers, including those who visit Galeries Lafayette, the renowned French shopping locale. At Galeries Lafayette West Bay, expect to find a little corner of Paris, with three floors filled with clothing, perfume, housewares and food. Be sure to try the legendary macaron cookies.

Shop for designer clothing from more than 400 famous brands, including Michel Kors, Marc Jacobs and Giancarlo Petriglia. Look for clothing, jewelry and accessories from many iconic French brands such as Chanel, Aurélie Bidermann and Sonia Rykiel here.

The store, which opened in 2019, has a section of restaurants and cafés serving French and international cuisine. Enjoy a taste of Paris with macarons and pastries, try French artisan chocolates or have a cup of tea in the European-inspired tearoom. For a full meal, visit the rooftop restaurant featuring Asian cuisine.

As with other shopping experiences in Doha, expect to be treated like royalty while visiting Galeries Lafayette. Valet parking is available, and personal shoppers and lifestyle advisors are on hand. There’s also a nail bar and spa for ladies.

Around the world, Galeries Lafayette stores are known for their stunning architecture and design the Doha store is no exception. Admire the building, which was designed by French architect Bruno Moinard. It features a glass-domed ceiling that mirrors the one in the original art nouveau Paris store.

Find Galeries Lafayette at 21 High Street, an outdoor shopping mall at Katara Cultural Village. Look for the giant red gift-wrapped box nearby that marks the Children’s Mall. The shopping complex is next to the Pearl-Qatar, a man-made island with upscale houses and apartments. You can also find many other luxury stores, cafés and restaurants here. The gallery complex has an outdoor sidewalk cooling system, creating a comfortable shopping experience in the summer heat.

Public transportation to Galeries Lafayette is limited to the metro stop at Al Qassar, nearly a 40-minute walk away. Drive or travel here by taxi from the center of Doha in about 20 minutes.

Amazing hotel. Amazing stay. Amazing staff. Room constantly spotless. Service in the hotel is superb. Breakfast was amazing.
