« Basic accommodation with some nice homely touches. Unfortunately, biggest issue for us were the external stairs up to the front door and also internal stairs to bedrooms. My 76yo mother uses a walking stick and I was temporarily on crutches too so we both struggled. Getting up the narrow outside steps in the dark with no lighting was quite precarious. « I loved my stay at the Brae. It was the perfect place to get over jet lag as I embarked on a one-month vacation of the U.K. It’s a couple of miles outside of town, and the bus to downtown stops right in front of the house, which was perfect. Very comfortable for sleeping. Having a bath tub to soak in after a day full of walking was heaven. Graeme was an extremely welcoming and informative host. Definitely recommend t He Stay at the Brae. »

« This is a great little find. Perfect for a family who doesnt want to be on top of one another in a hotel. It's a little far out for a quick walk to the city center, but the area is beautiful safe and quiet. It was a great find for the pinch we were in when the trains were shut down and we didnt have a place to stay. »
