An easy ride on the motorway. The perfect place for a quiet and peaceful vacation, placed at the end of a row of houses. The last house before the beach. Very suitable for families with children. Its just a short walk in flipflops to take a morning dip in the ocean on your very own 'private' mediterranean beach. If you want to get around its a great base for excursions to Milazzo, Messina, Taormina, the Eolian Islands, Mount Etna, majestic forested mountains with pittoresqe villages, Tindari Monastery, Tindari bay at Marinello, and much much more. Its a semidetached house. The house has a garden facing the beach, and there is a nice view from the balconies. You can see the majecstic and impressive Tindari Monastery and the closest of the Eolian Islands, Volcano. In the back there is a cozy backyard with trees and flowers. A great place to have your meals. There is a brick barbeque and pizza oven and an enclosed shower area so that you dont need to drag all the sand into the house when you get back from the beach. The neighboring farmer comes by regularly to offer his own produce (vegetables, cheese, sausages, vine and olive oil) out of the back of his car. The Ice Cream man also comes calling. The Hosts will do all they can to help you get a memorable vacation. (From a review) This fine, spacious, comfortable and well furnished villa is located in a quiet area in the northern part of Sicily in the bay of Tindari, directly on the Tyrrhenian Sea. The villa is made unique by the surrounding natural scenario that provides a magic atmosphere. Being situated on the beach it allows from its balconies a breathtaking view of the AEOLIAN ISLANDS, Tyndaris, and Cape Milazzo. You can also admire all around the mountains, the eucalyptus trees, the lemon gardens .. The villa offers a wide garden with palmtrees where to spend peaceful moments, also in summer, hearing the sounds of the waves. It's an excellent base to explore the Eastern part of Sicily, as it lies halfway between Taormina and Cefalù. \--Details about the house: The Villa is divided into two semi-detached houses with separate entrances. They are exactly the same except for the furnishing, so it is also recommended for two families or groups up to 26 people. Each house is on three levels. Entering the front door, on the right, there is the living area (sitting and dining) with access to the outside veranda on a wide beautiful garden with garden furniture, close to the beach. On the left, a big and fully equipped kitchen gives access to a spacious back garden equipped with two dining tables, a barbecue, a stone oven and an external shower. Some stairs take you to the first floor which is home of three queen bedrooms, two bathrooms with showers and two balconies to enjoy charming views on the bay and mountains. It was easy to go for a swim on the adjoining beach or walk down the beach for volleyball and a light meal. Die großzügige Doppelhaushälfte mit Garten und schönem Hof befindet sich am ruhigen Ende einer Sackgasse. Sie liegt weniger als zwei Minuten zu Fuß von einem einsamen, Traumsandstrand mit Blick auf das Kloster Tindari und die Äolischen Inseln entfernt. Je nach Sonnenstand und Laune findet man rund um das Haus gemütliche Sonnen- oder Schattenplätze zum Essen, Lesen oder Spielen. Die herzliche Vermieterin Angela ist großartig und äußerst hilfsbereit. Dass bei einem älteren Haus nicht alles perfekt ist, ist völlig egal - wer will sich schon in einer seelenlosen Neubauvilla langweilen? Angesichts der vier Schlaf- und drei Badezimmer sowie einer ausreichend ausgestatteten Küche ist das Haus optimal für bis zu drei Familien mit Kindern. Dank Außendusche bleibt das Innere sauber ;-). Ein Supermarkt und Bäckereien befinden sich im wenige Autominuten entfernten Falcone. Städte wie Taormina, Cefalu, Catania oder Palermo erreicht man in bis zu zwei Stunden. Zudem lädt das bergige Hinterland zu Wanderungen ein. Vom 30 Minuten entfernte Milazzo legen die Fähren zu den Äolischen Inseln, insbesondere zum beeindruckenden Stromboli (unbedingt eine Nacht dort verbringen), ab. Immersa nel verde e nel silenzio, l'unico suono che si percepisce è quello del fruscio delle onde che sbattono sulla battigia e il fischiettio degli uccellini che accompagnano il tuo risveglio la mattina . Posizione strategica per una vacanza tranquilla ma allo stesso tempo movimentata, vicinissima a posti come la baia del Tindari , Patti , Gioiosa, Capo d'orlando, Milazzo e soprattutto le Isole Eolie . La villa è bifamiliare ma le case sono totalmente indipendenti ed hanno un ingresso comune da una parte e due ingressi del tutto indipendenti dalla parte del mare (contrariamente a quanto ho letto in una recensione precedente). Inoltre sono disponibili aree esterne alla casa ( da una parte e dall'altra ) per pranzare e rilassarsi . I proprietari? due persone stupende ! Sempre gentili e disponibili , un giorno sono venuti a trovarci per prepararci una pizza fatta da loro , una bontà ...da non credere! Grazie Angela e Tanino ci rivedremo presto. CONSIGLIAMOOOO! Jul 25, 2016 #### Non una villa ma un condominio Arriviamo alla villa e scopriamo che le due ville menzionate nell'annuncio i realtà sono speculari ma unite insieme con un unico ingresso dalla strada e con i giardini comunicanti. Perciò mentre uno mangia si vede attraversare il patio dal vicino che deve raggiungere casa sua. Per fortuna noi abbiamo trovato persone educate, ma però erano sempre 14 persone, un vero problema. Inoltre i due bagni sono in realtà un bagno grande e uno piccolo senza doccia ne bidet,. con manopole degli scarichi bloccate, perciò in bagno avevamo una bomboletta di Svitol e una pinza come pronto intervento. Devo dire che i proprietari sono persone gentilissimi ( una sera ci hanno fatto la pizza nel forno in giardino) ma però non ci hanno fatto uno straccio di ricevuta dei soldi avuti. Mare e spiaggia vicinissimi e molto bello. In complesso casa da risistemare e indicare più chiaramente la situazione dell'immobile: ##### Piero Z. Jul 22, 2015 #### Relaxing haven My fiancé and I and our 9 month son stayed at Villa Calipso for a week at start of June. We wanted somewhere we could truly relax and Villa Calipso was perfect. The house is at the end of the street with the sea just a few steps away through a glade of eucalyptus and pine trees. The beach itself was sandy and quiet. We had a dip there every day and usually we were the only ones around. I’ll never forget waking up to the sound of birds and the waves lapping on the shore on our first morning. It was such a joy to open the windows and step out onto the balcony overlooking the pretty garden that bloomed with marvellous mediterranean shrubs and flowers. The house itself is very well equipped and Angela and Gitano made sure we were very comfortable. They had a cot and high chair ready for our infant. When out child was sick they very kindly made sure he was seen by a paediatrician for which we were very grateful. We highly recommend Villa Calipso. ##### Liam Y. Jul 11, 2015 #### Fantastic vacation I would like to thank the owners Angela and Tanino for hospitality,warm welcome and delicious home made pizzas! The villa is very beautiful and very close to the beach. It is a calm place, so it is perfect for family stay or for those who love not too much touristic and crowdy places. The sandy beach is beautiful and you can have a nice walk around. The rooms are comfortable, nice furnished and we found everything we needed. Every room has a balcony. There are two terraces where you can relax and have your meal. Just one thing that made us tired-muscits,so the sleep was not always calm:) However, overall we had a very good time. May 24, 2013 #### Beautiful Calipso This was a totally enjoyable holiday and all the more enjoyable because of the fantastic welcome we received from Angela and Tanino with wonderful freshly baked bread from the outdoor oven and a gift of some "kick like a mule"wine..Vino Fillipo.The house was perfect for us ,very homely and spacious and a fantastic stretch of beach less then 2 minutes away. There are a lot of great places to visit within driving distance. Thanks again for your hospitality, Angela an Tanino, we will always treasure the memory of our visit there, the beautiful place, the great pizza evening and your generosity and good humour. Ho appena trascorso con degli amici una vacanza a Villa Calipso. La casa e’ in realtà ancora meglio di quanto appare sulle foto. E' completamente attrezzata e arredata con gusto. La vista sul mare e sulle isole Eolie è magnifica. Da tenere presente anche la disponibilità totale di giardino e area esterna. I proprietari si sono dimostrati estremamente gentili e disponibili.
