Apartment located in the historic center of Funchal, a few minutes walk from the center of the city, just below the Pico Fort. House recently restored and transformed into two independent T1 apartments. This little one! It has a modern design, very comfortable and cozy, with a magnificent view over the bay of Funchal, making it possible to watch and enjoy the fantastic fireworks display of the common terrace of the building (2 apartments) . Consisting of a spacious bedroom (double bed) with complete ensuite bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. It has a private garage for a car (parking A) at no additional cost. Excellent geographical location, close to the access to the highways, so you can travel all over the island and enjoy the beautiful natural landscapes, and close to the historic center of Funchal, and can even get around on foot. Judite was great and everything was clean, worked, and felt safe. Judite even accommodated out late arrival - 12:15 am! While the parking was an excellent accommodation, it was quite a tight fit after a precarious drive uphill. As we stayed in apartment A, we loved to watch the sunrise over the sea from our bed. We relaxed a lot on the patio and had our meals there and often wind off in the evenings on the hangig chair on the terrace. The kitchen provided a sink, induction stove, knives in all sizes, even wine glasses. The pots and pans are small but overall totally suited for two people. The bathroom was clean. The city center, supermarkets and bus stops are reachable in a short walking distance. As Funchal lies at the bottom of mountains, prepare for a very short hike to get to the apartment. The place was very clean and spacious. It was a perfect accommodation for the two of us. The location is great too. About a 20 minute walk from the city centre so not too bad. It is higher up though and the street leading up to the place especially is incredibly steep so be warned of that. The bathroom had a bit of a weird smell to it but it was no big deal really. The one biggest warning I have for this stay is the parking. The parking garage is a shared space and for this listing, spot A is incredibly hard to get into as there is part of the garage that sticks out on one side and a car on your other side. The street is a one way street and is very narrow making it difficult to get in and out as well so if you're not a great driver just be aware of this. Very safe, but you'll work up a sweat. Lots of restaurants/shops/bars etc.. in the area. As far as the apartment, it was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Everything worked as expected, and the view was wonderful with a little terrace to enjoy your morning coffee. My only suggestion would be to have an oscillating fan for those warm days. The unit we rented was too small for us but that was a problem with our choice, not the owner’s. However, it was extremely well equipped particularly in the kitchen.This apt is perfectly located, only 10 minutes walk to the marina, La Vie shopping centre and a myriad of activities, museums and restaurants. There is a magnificent view of the city and the cruise ship docks from the terrace. Our hosts were very accessible and answered quickly whenever we had a question. Due to its hillside location, this would not be appropriate for people who have fitness or mobility issues but for us it was great to stay fit while vacationing. La cucina odora di muffa e il bagno puzza di fogna in modo permanente...La stradina per raggiungere la casa è stretta, curva e in forte salita, pertanto è necessario avere un'auto piccola e, comunque, è difficile fare manovra per entrare nel garage, soprattutto se presente l'auto nel posto a fianco, di competenza dell'altro appartamento.È possibile parcheggiare poco sotto a meno di 1 euro l'ora dalle 8 alle 20 ma per salire a piedi vi auguro di avere gambe buone!Non ci tornerei e non lo consiglio! ##### Isabella A. Het appartement ligt een kwartier lopen van het centrum, de kust, winkelcentrum. Maar het ligt wel hoger tegen de berg en sommige straten zijn erg steil, dus je moet wel goed ter been zijn. Woonkamer is inpandig, vanuit de slaapkamer en het terras heb je een prachtig uitzicht over de stad. Prima keuken met apparatuur. Schoon. ##### Jakob R. Man hat einen wunderschönen Blick dort und läuft nur 5-10 Minuten ins Zentrum, sollte aber bedenken, dass der Weg recht steil ist. Auch die Auffahrt mit dem Mietwagen ist sehr spannend gewesen aufgrund der steilen und engen Straßen. Einen Mietwagen, der größer als ein Smart ist? Kann man machen, muss man aber nicht: in der Straße gibt es keine Wendemöglichkeit, die Straße ist schmal und die Garage recht eng, sollte man nicht wie wir das Glück haben, dass die zweite Wohnung unvermietet ist. Alles in Allem eine top Unterkunft und ein sehr netter Kontakt ##### Hannah B.
