Layout of the room is more like a studio amd a lot more spacious than your normal hotel room. Laundromat is available and also free coffee and tea in the morning. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was more of an apartment and much more than anticipated! Lots of space! There are croissants and coffee/tea for the morning, but with a fridge and kitchen you can do what you want. Daily cleaning was thorough. Unfortunately, because it's a family run business, the tatami had some stains from being soiled previously which some people would mind. However, given the price of the stay, can't complain. The futon is a little thin if you're not used to sleeping oj the ground but I'm sure you can request for extra layers from the front desk if needed. There's lots of highly rated restaurants just right on the stretch where the hotel is, but requires advanced booking. Highly recommend checking out this yakitori place (博多とりかわ 琥珀の月) Hakata Torikawa Kohatsu No Tsuki. Bar/high chairs only, takes up to a max of 8-9 pax.
