The Japanese traditional Kaiseki dinner is the highlight, followed by drum show. Hotel has a beautiful garden sterches out acres with rich vegetation and architectural details. Wine bar provides nice coffee, snacks and wine tasting. We visited to glimpse Fujisan but were denied. The property is dated but has obvious charm with typical japanese 70s style architecture. The outdoor onsen is very nice. Not crowded even on a weekend. Food was really fabulous. There is good entertainment in the evening and plenty of little clubs to drink wine. The first morning we woke up and peeled back our curtain, Mount Fuji was in full view. It was spectacular. It was also serene to enjoy the view from our private open air bath. The breakfast was fantastic with so many options, and dinner was beautifully played. The staff was very kind and welcoming — we were initially worried because we mentioned that my husband has celiac disease and cannot eat gluten, and they seemed unwilling to accommodate. But, once we were there, they made sure to review with him what he could eat — it was likely just a language barrier and misunderstanding of his restrictions.
