We’ve found bedding quite uncomfortable. In addition, we had to set up futons for our children ourselves every night. There was no choice of water temperature in the bathroom and toilet. No soap to wash hands with in the toilet. No hand towels. Food was average quality and the restaurant was very crowded and noisey. We booked private onsen - it was quite dirty (windows, ceilings) and the setting wasn’t aesthetically pleasing (not one to enjoy and relax in). We arrived at check in time (walked from bus station - about 10-15 min). A shuttle service was available but we decided to walk this time. Service from start to finish was amazing. The hotel was beautiful during the fall season. We stayed in the west wing. Rooms were very spacious and clean. However, the bathroom was a bit small. Dinner was included and was a buffet with several western and Japanese options. Drinks were included - alcoholic and non alcoholic. Breakfast buffet was great too. Get there early for seating near the windows for views. We never felt like there were too many people. We experienced the onsen which was hot at first but then very relaxing. Would recommend it all.
