The site was naturally beautiful, on top of a mountain. As I sat out next to the BBQ grill, a deer walked out into the driveway and stood on its hind legs to eat new leaves off the nearby bushes, just 20 feet away. The property was clean and had everything a person could imagine needing. The owners were friendly and gave me plenty of privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The location, cabin size, cleanliness, amenities (even including Christmas treats!) were all outstanding! We loved the fireplace, and the walk to the local pond. We really appreciated being able to have our two dogs with us. I was very glad to have this small cabin vs. a generic chain hotel in Front Royal, Manassas, or Dulles, allowing me to enjoy the beauty of Northern VA before attending a huge, busy conference in DC. The cabin and its location are clearly more suited for people who are taking advantage of the outdoor activities in the vicinity rather than wine tasting, which was the downside for me--there was coffee and a coffee maker in the cabin, but no coffee (e.g., powdered) creamer, and there really weren't places nearby to buy some, much less get breakfast nor just a cup of coffee to-go. There was plenty of soap, shampoo, bubble bath, towels, etc. Bed was great. Location was quiet and peaceful. I had no issues with my GPS working, but apparently some people do have problems so Sandra makes EXTRA sure you have clear directions prior to arrival.
