Newly Remodeled! (weow) This beautiful waterfront home was updated with a modern feel, while still maintaining its Northwest contemporary charm. The wide deck offers a truly remarkable view and access to Westcott Bay and the surrounding landscapes. Paddle boarders and kayakers will find the access of launching their personal crafts as easy as possible! The house offers a deep-water mooring buoy to tie a boat up to if necessary; low tide provides 8’ depth and is safe for boats 50' or less. (House does not supply kayaks or paddle boards) Westcott Bay Shellfish Farm is directly across the Bay, close enough to paddle board or kayak your way over to pick up the freshest shellfish on San Juan Island! This 2-bedroom (plus additional sleeping space), 3-bathroom home is perfect for a family getaway or a trip with friends. The primary bedroom has a king bed and en suite bath, the second bedroom has a queen and en suite bath, and the third sleeping space has a queen bed with a bathroom nearby. Prepare meals in the gorgeous, updated kitchen, and enjoy them at the dining table or the expansive deck with outdoor furniture! After a day of exploring the Island, guests can spend their evening cozying up in the modern living room to enjoy a movie on the flat screen, or simply unplug and take in one of our famous San Juan sunsets! Very nearby attractions include the Wescott Bay Cidery/San Juan Island Distillery and the Westcott Bay Shellfish Company. There are also some lovely walking hikes on the Roche Harbor trails and across the Bay at English Camp where the view from the top is well worth the hike! It’s right on the water, we’ll-stocked, and all around wonderful. There’s a small boat and kayaks for use and it’s impeccably clean. Plus the owners could not be nicer! We had to delay our check-in by a day due to inclement weather and they were so accommodating. It was so nice to be able to walk to Roche in the morning for coffee and donuts and also be so close to Wescott Shellfish Company. We also appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was as we cooked a number of our meals. The only bummer was that we could not find the TV remote so we were unable to use the TV during our visit. One other thing to note is that the patio hasn’t been sealed or refinished in a long time which lead to lots of slivers unfortunately. The views and wildlife did not disappoint. The home was very spacious and clean. Stayed for 3 day my youngest son was married on South Beach late afternoon. Just a short drive from property. Reviewer Comments: After 20 years of visiting the Island, we've finally found our special spot. The home is a gem, with massive windows, individual heaters in each room, abundant kitchen supplies, large bedrooms and bathrooms. The outside doesn't look like much, but it's truly the ideal modern, comfortable place. It's a quick walk to Roche Harbor for coffee or a walk thru the Sculpture Garden. The property management company is truly superior. We had a minor problem with a noisy freezer; I called and they had a repairman immediately fix the problem. They apologized profusely and even thanked me for calling. We hope to return every year.
