This San Juan Island vacation home near Roche Harbor offers all the essentials to make your vacation memorable for your family and pets. Yes, we are pet friendly! Located on Neil Bay, this property has a nice pebble beach front just down the hill from the house, where you can sit and watch wildlife or launch your kayak. You will find a fire pit, picnic table and benches down by the beach to enjoy.
This home is located in a desirable neighborhood on the NW side of San Juan Island, about a 20 minute drive from Friday Harbor and the ferry. You can walk or bike to nearby Roche Harbor within 20 minutes, where you'll find an airstrip, pool, post office, spa, marina, market, artists' kiosks, shops and restaurants.
This home is an ideal setting for those who enjoy reading, cooking, hiking, kayaking and just plain
relaxing.
You can relax on the deck on long summer evenings and watch eagles, ducks, geese, seals, deer and other wildlife. There is a gas BBQ outside and a wood burning stove in the living room with firewood/kindling provided.
The living room is open and bright with lots of windows and a vaulted ceiling. It is comfortably furnished with a large screen TV for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. Wireless Internet access, HDMI connection and a DVD/CD player are provided. The fully equipped kitchen offers ample space for preparing meals which can be served in the dining room that seats 6 comfortably.
The master bedroom has a king bed and flat screen TV and the master bath has a jacuzzi tub to relax in. The second bedroom has a queen bed plus an outstanding water view from its window and private access to the deck. The loft bedroom has 2 comfortable twin beds and a half bath.
Besides just relaxing, San Juan Island offers whale watching, kayaking, sailing, hiking and much more. Reuben Tarte Park is about 2 miles away, the Frisbee golf course is about 1 mile away. A must see is the Westcott Bay Sculpture Park and the San Juan Island Distillery both near Roche Harbor.

#### A Quiet Getaway Rental
This nice, comfortable rental has everything you need which is why we came back here again. Great location with nice views on Neil Bay. A treat to watch the otters, gulls, eagles, and a curious red fox. Davison Head is nice for walking the dog right out the door with minimal traffic. We enjoyed the firepit along the shore and the wood burning stove in the house during the chilly evenings. If you get tired of meal prep, Roche Harbor's Lime Kiln Cafe is close by too.

#### Great winter island getaway
The house was fully equipped for a great long weekend with family. Six of us, including grandparents, stayed together in this space. The kids enjoyed the proximity to the rocky beach and sleeping in the loft. We did puzzles, explored the island, and cooked meals together. Definitely would stay there again.

This is the third time my husband and I have stayed at this VRBO. We bring our kayaks and there is amazing places to paddle right from their place. We were lucky enough to see Biggs Orcas just across Spieden Channel on New Year's Day - Amazing!!! The house is very clean and has a ton of storage space in the bedrooms and kitchen. The hosts are very easy to communicate with and add to the overall enjoyment of the property.

We loved this property and the story behind the family that owns it. The home is nestled in the trees and sits right on Neil Bay, a perfect little getaway for our family and dog. Duke was in his happy place exploring the little beach while the seals looked on with curiosity. The home was clean, organized and the kitchen was well equipped. We will definitely look up this property again on our next trip to San Juan Island.

Easy access from house to beach to launch kayak or to hang out and enjoy surrounding Neil Bay views and beyond. Quiet, peaceful and well equipped home. Large home with well supplied kitchen and view of the water. We appreciated having a washer/dryer and access to a beach. Only drawback was only one shower. The master bath has a very deep soaker tub which does not lend itself to conserve water, as requested.

#### Great home in great location
We had my family of four and my parents with us, as well as my dog and the house fit all our needs. It was a great location, it had a wonderful view with private beach access and it was spacious and comfortable. Check in was very easy and parking was abundant. They even had snacks and dog treats which was a nice touch. The house was very clean. We have an almost 1 year old and almost 3 year old and we felt it was on the kid friendly side.

#### Fantastic San Juan Stay
This was the perfect place for our group of 4 friends and a dog to stay for our hiking and whale watching adventures. We liked that it was away from the bustle of Friday Harbor but an easy drive there. Also, it was a nice walk to the sculpture park and Roche Harbor. The views and fire pit were big hits. We had everything we needed for cooking meals. Beds were comfy. The place was very clean. Jennifer was super easy to communicate with and very accommodating. She helped us solve a dilemma regarding our dog. We highly recommend this place, and we hope to be back some day!

#### Friends Weekend
We three ladies stayed at this fantastic property for four nights. We loved the location right by the water, the quietness of the property, the warm blankets on the beds, the shoreline. We cooked several meals and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The island is small, so it was nice to not be staying right in Friday Harbor and to get out and explore. The neighborhood foxes and owls were the only noise at night. The firepit by the water was super cool, although we didn't use it because we were tired from our daily adventures and fell asleep early. The bedrooms were comfortable, the mudroom and laundry were GREAT! We all LOVED this property and decreed we'd bring our families back.

#### San Juan Island Gem
In our many decades of travel we have never stayed in a vacation rental home as wonderful as this! The hosts have thought of every detail to make you feel welcome. From large fluffy towels to cabinets labeled with contents everything is just right. The bay in front of the home is 100 yards wide and about 1 mile long…well protected from the weather. This makes it ideal for paddleboarding and kayaking. The beach provides a great place to pull water toys up and out of the water. 50 steps takes you up to the home with a well built wrap around deck. The main room is comfortable and the dining area easily seats 6\. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could want and a step through an entry room takes you outside to the circular driveway. The bedrooms are spacious and the comforters thick and warm. There is plenty of hot water for the jetted tub or shower. The walls are covered with beautiful art and decorations enhance every counter. The hosts even set out a small container of dog treats…! If you are looking for a place that feels more like the home of an old friend, and less like a typical vacation rental then this is the one for you. We would rate this home 10 stars if that were possible.

#### A true gem
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful and welcoming home near Roche Harbor. This place is a true gem, and it has an impressive number of qualities that really make it stand out. First is the location. It is off a quiet road, and you feel like you are in the woods. It is a beachfront house with all the great things beaches in the San Juans have to offer. Some of us saw a family of seals on “our” beach in the early morning hours and we saw osprey and herons and a lot other wildlife, as well as wonderful sunsets. The house is lovely, meticulously cared-for, and has every amenity. The property has been in the family for more than one generation and they share the history of the home from back when there was only a platform on the beach, so it has a feeling of authenticity and depth. The two main bedrooms are surprisingly secluded from each other allowing privacy as well as shared spaces. There are many windows and a quiet sunroom. The two largest rooms have their own direct access to the outdoors. The kitchen is really nice, and it has a lot of storage for pots, pans, and dinnerware. The place is outfitted with just about everything you could wish for. The bathrooms need special mention. There are three (well, I guess 2 ½ ) bathrooms that have a total of one luxurious spa tub, 1 shower, 3 toilets. Did I mention this is a gem? This is the kind of find you want to keep to yourself, it is so good. We highly recommend it

This home was one of the cleanest homes we have stayed in! The host, Howard was quick to answer any questions we had. We really enjoyed the wood burning fire place during our stay as well.
