My husband and I spent 6 nights here in mid-April 2015, and were very pleased with this hotel. The employees were all very pleasant and helpful, our room was large, attractive, and very clean. The pool appeared to be in good condition, and the deck area, beach, and hotel grounds were also maintained nicely. The young lady at the activities desk was very friendly and informative.
We had dinner twice at the restaurant, and while the meals were well prepared, the service seemed very slow, even accounting for being on "island time". One evening in particular, the kitchen seemed overwhelmed by the crowd. The wait staff, however, dealt with this well. I was not overly impressed by the menu, but as mentioned, everything we ordered was tasty. The grill at the beach was convenient, and we really enjoyed breakfasts and a couple of lunches there. The girly rum drinks were a generous size and delicious!
It was nice having the bikes available, and we enjoyed a good ride one afternoon. We didn't use the kayaks and paddle boards, but lots of people were having fun with them, and it seemed like a good way for families to spend the day. Since this hotel also has a marina, there were lots of boaters there, so this made for an interesting mix of guests.
