Helen's Landing, Freeport Maine Enjoy a cocktail on the dock as you watch the sun set over Wolfe's Neck. Go for a swim or take the paddleboards for a cruise around the bay. Bring the family for 3 nights or the week. This charming home offers ample lounge area both inside and out, a modern gas grill, a stone fireplace, and an outdoor firepit with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Unplug, relax, and listen to the sound of the tide coming in while staying as connected as you need to be with our 24/7 backup generator and high-speed Wi-Fi. Located on historic Lower Flying Point, a spot prized for its timber by the British Royal Navy, the home is a short 10 minute drive to downtown Freeport yet feels miles away on this idyllic peninsula. Explore all that Freeport and the surrounding area have to offer, from shopping and dining in town, to LL Bean outdoor adventure excursions and oyster farm tours. You'll be close to Wolfe Neck Farm, host to various events and activities year round including public access to walking trails. Upon your return, enjoy an outdoor shower and unwind on the deck overlooking the water. Other Amenities: For guests with small kids, we offer a Pack'N Play and a high chair. Please let us know in advance of your stay. We provide 8 beach towels for guests, 2 beach chairs, a barbecue propane grill, and a propane lobster pot. Guest access: Guests have access to entire property except for the basement, which is used for storage. The basement is not occupied, and there is a security camera that monitors the heating oil system. Other things to note: The home hosts a maximum of 6 guests. During the day, you may have at most 2 additional guests visiting at the property. This is due to the septic system and well water - we need to ensure that we don't use more than the systems were designed for. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in additional fees and could terminate your access to the property for the remainder of your stay. The property is monitored by two exterior security cameras, one facing the ocean and one facing the driveway. The cameras do not face the interior living spaces of the home. As the property has a lawn, uses oil for heat, and propane for the backup generator, it is possible that landscaping, oil/propane delivery etc may occur on the exterior of the property during your stay. While we endeavor to avoid this, or otherwise provide guests with advanced notice of these visits, it is possible that an unannounced visit may occur. This property nestled in an incredible coastal Maine location. The house offers all the wonderful elements of a woodsy, rustic setting with uncompromising modern comforts. The house is set up wonderfully, providing plenty of space to relax and cook, all while taking in the beautiful views. Don't want to go outside? No problem. Relax with a book in the sunroom or enjoy the views from the spacious living room. The lakefront property features ample outdoor space to lounge or play. We especially enjoyed the outdoor shower after our swims, and the nightly sunsets around the fire pit were amazing. We also appreciated its proximity to the cities of Freeport and Portland. With little effort, you can enjoy great food and shopping. The owners take such good care of this property and have thought of everything without it feeling over the top. This house was perfect for our needs. Plenty of space to be together and to spread out. Kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed. Our property manager was responsive and attentive to the few things we had questions about. We adored time in Freeport and lighthouse adventures.
