It's in the middle of no where, far from the beaten track. It's not really a cottage you'll be staying in, more of a guest house. One large property sub-divided into separate rooms with your own external entrance. The room is basic (at best): double bed, small kitchenette (microwave, toaster, four ring gas hob, fridge freezer, coffee percolator and sink along with crockery, cutlery and a range of pans), a small seating area in the room plus a patio area outside and a small bathroom (shower, sink and EC). It was clean, but not well maintained. No servicing of the room whilst I was there for six days! The owner is very friendly and always giving advice, help and assistance. No staff on site. There is a café (open for breakfast and lunch and dinner if pre-booked) in the village (about a three minute walk up the steep rough roadway) but the menu was very basic and expensive - we purchased breakfast items from the supermarket and did ourselves after one café visit.
Antigua is expensive and I think that $75 per night is expensive, but in comparison to other options this is one of the cheapest - get what you pay for.
