Forfaits vacances – Frederiksted

The property was misrepresented by very old images on Expedia. The property is worn out and tired. Work was needed everywhere and at best is a 2 star hotel. Not enough staff to keep up the property and garbage everywhere including on the beach. Beach is beautiful but the water is unsuitable to swimming due to rip tides. No security on property and felt unsafe a number of times.

The property needs a major facelift and pictures on the website are very misleading. The bathrooms have rest inside of them. The paint is peeling and rusted on all of the rails in the resort. There is only one real restaurant which double as a buffet for breakfast and dinner. The food is recycled some days which makes everything rubbery and overcooked. The bar food is good but you run out of things to eat. The first day we arrived the pool water was green. The smell at the resort is almost unbearable due to the seaweed , it smells like a garbage truck. The owner is shortchanging the visitors due to not putting money into the resort . The pool needs to be resurfaced, they need more staff. No gift shop , the coffee bar is a whole joke it’s never open and not a good representation of a coffee shop. The management staff are doing the best they can with limited resources. The welcome lobby does not feel so welcoming and the chandelier looks like it has not been cleaned for some time full of cobwebs and rusted equipment. I would not recommend this resort for future travelers.

So one thing to remember here is that the property was built in the 60’s and sat for quite a while but with that said the rooms were immaculate…. Some of the resort does needs some updating like the pool which has a liner and sometimes it feels like you are walking on a sponge, but it was clean and well kept. We were a little surprised as the marketing made it seem as though it was a much bigger property than it is. They do serve three different types of food from the same kitchen. The food was excellent from all perspectives and the serving staff was so attentive and concerned that we were happy with the service. Another little issue we were presented with is that the power was being repaired as the facility is fully sustainable but the power went out a couple of times and we had to ask what was happening. It would have been nice if we were notified about the issues prior to arrival. I’m sure they are working to get it back to normal. They are working hard to get the property in order and you have to remember this resort is right on the water and the peace and serenity are quite admirable and we wouldn’t have changed that for anything. Julie was amazing and offered some complimentary things due to the power outages which we were very appreciative of that. She is caring, compassionate and really concerned about your stay and is quite the conversationalist. We enjoyed our conversation together. The entertainment was top notch..!
