The property is conveniently located 2 blocks from Main Street and Highway 290\. Guests are less than a two-minute drive to the downtown shopping areas, as well as easy access to wineries and vineyards. The property features a modern kitchen with a large island and separate coffee bar, stainless appliances, and farm sink. The open-concept kitchen and living area lend itself to casual entertaining and conversation. The sun room/dining area has a table for 6 that overlooks the deck and backyard. Original hardwood floors flow throughout the home. The backyard is spacious, fenced for privacy, and has a large deck with patio furniture and a fire pit with seating for six. The two bedrooms have a queen-size bed and two twin beds. There is also a full-size air mattress if needed. The bathroom has a full-size tub/shower combination. In addition to WiFi, cable television and streaming services are available. The property features original paintings, photography, and artwork of Texas artists. Information is available if interested in purchasing or personally contacting the artist or photographer. A self check-in system with a permanent lock box will personally accommodate guests' arrival times. Guests have access to the entire property and the owners live off site for maximum privacy. The home is within walking distance to a convenience store, doughnut/pastry shop, barbecue take-out (breakfast tacos/lunch), several fast food establishments, and a laundromat. Also, the house is made of wood and it rained nearly the entire weekend which really made the home have a musty smell… That’s not some thing the owners can fix because it is an old house… But if someone has a sensitivity. You should be aware of this.. The home was clean… But I think the fact there is only one bathroom would make me shy away from having more than two people at this location. It a little further from the Main Street action than we had wanted, but we decided to walk anyway so we didn't have to worry about parking and could enjoy some drinks without having to worry about driving. It was a beautiful day to walk and enjoy from sights of Fredericksburg. They have a fully stocked coffee bar. We had most things we needed to make simple breakfast. My only complaint was that the shower didn't get very hot, but other than that everything was wonderful! Interior was very nicely done, especially the kitchen. Big backyard and fire pit gave our kids lots of room to run around and make s'mores. We loved how comfortable everything was. The enclosed porch made for a great time drinking wine while protected by the weather! The best part was how thoughtful the owners were.
