Upon arrival, we still have not received our email with the code to enter the door. We had to call them as we were standing outside the door to get in. One of the reasons we booked this cottage was because it included breakfast both mornings of our two nights stay. However, there were no instructions on how to receive the breakfast. The laminated card in the room that said call the local person Dawn for any assistance. However, when we called Dawn, she informed us that she quit working for the company in April. Our stay was the third weekend of July.There is a jetted bathtub, but there is no shower. There is a handheld shower wand, but the directions on how to use the tub lead you to believe it is a small hot water heater and a shower with the wand is not an option.The window AC unit is terribly loud. There was only one washcloth for two adults. There was no ironing board so we had to iron on a towel on the floor. The sheets were not crisp white but very dingy in color. ##### Autumn W. I can't remember the last time I had used just a bathtub to bathe in but it sure gave the wife and I a laugh having to navigate that little oddity. First, I thought all of the VRBOs for this area were very pricey to begin with but we stayed anyways. We booked the Travis Cottage. When my husband and I arrived we kind of looked at each other like “this is it?” It is a family that turned their older garage (behind their home in use) into a room and bathroom. They tried to make the best of it so I give them that. When we saw what it was I really thought it was too pricey. They added some nice touches like a German pastry to welcome us, etc. but still it was very expensive. The bed was ok. The cottage was a little dirty (mostly floors), but I think it was because it was older. The tub was very difficult to get in and out of because very high from floor. There is not a lot of hot water. The hand-held sprayer in tub goes everywhere so it was difficult to use. There is no shower. I packed coffee, because they said they had a coffee maker. They have an old Keurig that you “stuff” coffee into a cup for and it didn’t work for us, so went out each time for coffee. The AC was not very good... it’s a window unit and was very humid in the room. I would think summers are rough. They put out a nice folder with info about the town. They had a 4 l cereal boxes (individual size) with milk and OJ in fridge. It was a decent space... about size of normal hotel room with one bed. It was easy to access the key. Walking distance was perfect, but don’t walk at night... no street lights. I didn’t like the fact that we paid a ton of fees (I think that’s what made it a ridiculous price), including cleaning, yet we had a check out list that includes us having to take care of all dishes, etc. We are not messy and don’t mind cleaning up behind us but why the fee? All and all it was ok. I prob wouldn’t stay there again but it wasn’t the worst stay ever. It was cute and “old fashioned.” ##### Erin T.
