Our mother bought this home in 2000 and the home has been restored to original condition as one of the most historic homes in Fredericksburg. The architecture is German, Victorian, Hill Country and all original aspects of the past remain, however, the modern comforts are present to enable guests to be comfortable in 2000 sq. ft. of exclusive space, owner's apartment excluded.Our location is 2 minutes from mainstreet downtown where wine tasting, restaurants, shopping, and night life entertainment are. abundant. Before leaving, our front and back wrap around porches are available for relaxing. The front yard is home to one of the largest oak trees in Fredericksburg to enhance a peaceful experience that is typical of the Hill Country. We are located on 1/2 acre fenced tree and hill country scenery. Lot's of character and style. Spending the morning drinking coffee with friends on the lovely porch rocking chairs was a plus. The home is private and quiet. The added bonus of a short term rental was a big selling point. We attended the snow crab festival and then went to Crossroads saloon for dinner and drinks and dancing.
