It is one of the jewels of this German settlement. Located two blocks from Main Street in the Historic District, it's an easy walk to shopping, restaurants, museums, and festivals at Marktplatz. Rockers line the front porch inviting you to relax and watch the world go by. A beautiful antique pine staircase greets you in the entry upon arrival. The house has recently been redecorated and features two bedrooms, one with a king bed and one with a queen bed. Recently renovated, both bathrooms feature walk-in showers. The living room has comfortable seating and Cable TV & DVD. The country kitchen has room for all to gather around the table. The antique replica stove actually works. The sunroom has a cozy daybed and chairs. It's the perfect place to curl up with a good book or conversation with good friends. Upstairs, a trundle bed provides space for extra guests. Outside on the back terrace are table and chairs to enjoy to wonderful Hill Country weather. The home is pet friendly and will accept up to two dogs. However, there is a pet fee of $17/dog/night. Due to the fact that HomeAway/VRBO does not allow us to charge for more than one dog at the time of booking, please let us know if you will be bringing more than one dog, so that we can make sure that you are charged the correct amount. If you bring more than one dog and do not let us know, you will be charged accordingly. Furthermore, please bring crates for your dogs and crate them in your absence from the house, do not allow the dogs on furniture or beds, and pick up and properly dispose of their waste. If these rules are not followed, there will be an additional $200 charge added to your reservation. \*Please be aware that the house has cameras facing both the parking lot and Creek Street.\* House Rules as Required by the City of Fredericksburg's Short Term Rental Ordinance \- Observe the City of Fredericksburg Quiet Hours (10pm to 7am in residential zones). Walking distance to shops and restaurants and we could even enjoy a live concert from the restaurant next door as we sat outside the house with the baby monitor! The bed was comfortable and the home was stylish. Easy to stay with our two large dogs and baby and we enjoyed the fenced side yard (not pictured in the listing). There were a few hiccups as to be expected with an older home — A/C went out (but was fixed same day), kitchen sink wouldn't drain, water pressure in the shower was pretty bad. But the management team was on top of all the issues and fixed them in a timely manner, even on a weekend. I do wish they would have asked if it was OK to send a maintenance man over when we weren't there before he came. We did happen to be home so it wasn't a big deal. Overall, very easy and comfortable stay and enjoyed Fredericksburg. ##### Katie K.
