Only five blocks from Main Street and close to Marktplatz, this private limestone rock home is a romantic haven for two or an ideal getaway for two couples traveling together.
There is plenty of room for you and your guests to sip your morning coffee, afternoon tea or evening cocktail while relaxing on the long front porch that offers a wicker love seat and antique bed frame converted to a love seat, as well as two rocking chairs.
Inside the living room you will find many comforts of home. Relax on the cushioned antique wood loveseat and two wing-backed chairs, which are placed to enjoy enhanced HD cable programming on the 43-inch flat screen television and HD DVD player, which sit on an antique medicine cabinet. A wood-burning stove framed by limestone rock adds warmth to the living room on a cozy winter evening. High pitch beadboard ceilings, wood floors and an array of tasteful antiques create a special aura combining the old with the new. Unique copper shutters on the windows filter the hill country morning's light.
The full kitchen is open to the living room and is fully equipped. The stainless steel cookware and full array of utensils and dinnerware allow those epicurean-minded souls the tools to be creative. The décor in the kitchen is a decorator's delight with the tile countertops and pine cabinets. An antique table seats four. Enjoy the arrow-backed oak bar stools while sitting at the bar that opens into the kitchen from the living room. The bar also makes a comfortable spot to log in to your laptop with the complimentary Wi-Fi internet access.
A king bed is found in the master bedroom topped by a floral quilt and fluffy pillows. Luxury linens will tempt you to linger longer in bed before arising. The fabrics lend a pastoral quality to this tranquil room. The adjacent full bath showcases a clawfoot tub with shower. If soaking in the tub suits your pleasure, the shower easily converts to hand-held capacity. Soft and luxurious towels await you. The second bedroom has two twin beds also topped with quilts and fluffy pillows, as well as luxury linens. In the adjacent bathroom you will find a shower and luxury towels for your bathing pleasure. There is plenty of room for your suitcases and hanging clothes in each bedroom's roomy walk-in closet. The twin bedroom also has a small television with cable and VCR and many VHS movies.
An outdoor patio with cushioned patio furniture and an umbrella awaits you out back and to the side of the cottage. Enjoy watching the birds while they feed at the bird feeder or drink from the bird bath. You will see many species of birds frolicking in the vegetation that includes large pecan trees, a pear tree and fig trees, not to mention the Crepe Myrtles.

Crepe Myrtle Cottage was perfect for 4 long time women friends for a weekend getaway! The neighborhood was quiet and within easy driving distance to the restaurants we enjoy. The cottage was appointed with everything we needed.

I wasn't sure if one is great or five was great. The place was very pretty and nice. One of my musicians stayed the first night and called it luxurious. My mom and my sister stayed the second night and they loved it. My bed was great and I slept really well which is important when you're playing several band jobs. I do need to apologize for leaving some food in the fridge. I needed to get to my stage. The only thing to make the place better would be to put in an oval handicap toilet in the master bathroom. I stayed here withbw of my friends for a long weekend. The house was conveniently located and within walking distance to main street. The cottage was very clean and nicely prepared for guests with touches like a snack basket and an itinerary of live music in the area. We would definitely stay here again!

This is our second time staying here... this time with our husbands. Great space and we entertained friends who live in the area with outdoor grilling and playing cornhole. The kitchen was well appointed and we used the coupons at Rathskeller for some German fare. We hope to come back again!

#### Mommy/Daughter weekend getaway
We had such a wonderful time staying in this precious house! There were four of us (two moms and two college daughters) and the house was absolutely perfect for relaxing, cooking and just hanging out. Super close (walking distance) to Main Street but tucked away a couple of blocks away from the hustle and bustle. We are definitely coming back to this location! PS - beds are super comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking.
