The night sky is in full view, the noise is minimal, and the location is close enough to Franklin (about 35 minutes) and Bryson City (about 45 minutes) that you can get there in a reasonable amount of time yet far enough away that you don't have to deal with road noise and lots of traffic. The stove is gas (very nice), the beds work well enough, and the double level porch is a great place to hang out; it's a great place for quiet reflection time. My kids loved playing the video games I grew up on as there is a modern retro Nintendo system with a ton of old games loaded into it. We all got drawn in to some intense rounds of pool (go for the right corner pocket). The couches were comfy, and we loved watching a little TV at the end of the night.
