The entire house is designed around the concept of a “refreshing beach getaway” so you can immerse yourself in the vacation atmosphere without feeling overwhelmed. About the surrounding area: The Forest Landing development has numerous amenities such as a 7000 sq. ft. outdoor pool, fitness center, fire pit, 2 tennis courts, playground and walking trials, all of which are available to you for NO EXTRA CHARGE. The guess pass to access these amenities are included in your stay. These accommodations are all within walking distance and the Forest Landing community is very family friendly! In addition to the beautiful beaches and the bustling boardwalks (all within easy driving distance), there are multiple golf courses, such as the Bear Trap Dune Golf course that are within easy driving distance (just a ½ miles away). There are Weis and Giant supermarket that is less than 10 minutes drive from the house and CVS pharmacy and BJ's are only 20 minutes away. There are other local super markets that are even closer for your grocery shopping needs. About the house itself: The first floor includes the master bedroom with private full bathroom, 2 bedrooms (1 kids’ bedroom), a full bathroom, a laundry room, a full kitchen and dining area that is a part of the foyer. As you enter the house, you will see a beautiful arched entrance followed by a short hallway leading to the foyer. To the left of the entrance is a bedroom, a closet and a full bathroom. The bedroom features a queen size bed and carpeted floor. All of the bedrooms except the kid’s bedroom have its own closet. Walking past the arch, to your left is the kids’ bedroom with 2 twin beds and a dresser. To your right will be the laundry room with its brand new washer and drier with a sink and access to the garage. You will love the spacious feel of the foyer which is open to the second floor! The foyer, aka great room, includes a kitchen, a living room, a dining area and the stairs to the second floor. The dark wood flooring in most of the main areas of the first floor makes the house feel classy and the soft colored area rugs gives off a cozy vibe. The entire foyer is very well lit with 10 recessed lights and 2 ceiling lights. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, including a cook-top with 4 gas stoves, double wall oven, genuine granite counter top and a spacious island so you can cook to your heart’s content. We have stocked the kitchen with plenty of tableware and silverware as well as pots, pans, baking trays and other everyday kitchen necessities. The dining area to the back of the kitchen is equipped with a dining table that could easily sit your entire party (8+ people) so you can enjoy more time together on your vacation. The living room area includes a brand new curved 55 inch smart TV. You can access your YouTube from your phone and directly connect to the TV via WiFi or use the apps on the smart TV to access your own Netflix/hulu etc. accounts to enjoy your shows just like if you were home. The TV is mounted on a swivel so you can enjoy it from anywhere in the great room. The spacious coach in the living room is so soft and comfy, you can (and most likely will) fall asleep there after a long day at the beach or during a movie marathon. We also have a gas fireplace for your enjoyment. To the left of the entrance to the foyer is the stairs to the 2nd floor as well as the arched entrance to the master suite. The master suite includes the spacious master bedroom, a 55 inch flat screen TV, private bathroom and walk-in closet. The master bedroom features a tray ceiling, a queen size bed with nightstands and soft area rug. The master bathroom features a unique soaking tub with water jets, separate walk in shower and couple’s sink. The second floor is entirely carpeted and features a loft, a full bathroom and 2 bedrooms. The loft is equipped with a sofa that can be converted into a queen size bed, brand new TV, an Xbox 360 and other entertainment systems. It’s the perfect place to just hang out and relax. There are two bedrooms located on the second floor, one with a queen sized bed and another with a full sided bed and a twin sided bed. Outside features include a 2 car garage with an ice box freezer and a 4 car driveway. The backyard is open to a beautifully maintained lawn that is facing the pond. A brand new BBQ stove in the outdoor patio will be provided for your grilling needs. Additionally, we do provide basic cable and free WiFi during your stay. The house is also equipped with a security key pad operated door so you don’t have to worry about bringing your keys in a bathing suit! Please keep in mind linens and towels are not included with this rental. Feel free to bring your own or rent one of our linen packages. We recently added a new screen porch! The furniture is very tasteful and in mint condition and and we loved the beachy decor. The kitchen is very well stocked - has everything you could possibly need. The master bedroom and bath are just that - The Masters of the house. The master walk-in closet has more than enough room for clothes, suitcases, extra stuff, etc. Three of the five bedrooms did not have dressers. They did have nightstands which were somewhat sufficient for our needs. As well, the Twin/Full bedroom upstairs did not have a dresser or a closet. Fortunately there was only one family member in this room so they were able to lay their clothes out on the extra bed. The outside grill area/patio did not have the 2 chairs as depicted in the listing picture, but the gas tank was full. The owner provided 12 very nice beach chairs and a new freezer in the 2-car garage. We were able to easily park all 4 cars in the garage and in the driveway. The enclosed porch was a huge plus which is one of the reasons we chose this house. However, it was installed after the development was built and when the sprinklers went off half of the nights we were there, they caused water to shoot halfway into the porch at night. This was disappointing as we had to move inside. Installing a pull-down shade may help. We also recommend getting dressers at least for the 2 bedrooms upstairs. The owner was extremely attentive and we would definitely rent this home again. ##### Wendy G. We vacation with a group of friends every summer in Bethany and have rented at various developments in the area and Forest Landing is our favorite! We were thrilled to find this 5 bedroom house this year. John was an awesome host, a clear and responsive communicator. The house was amazing, very clean, plenty of beach equipment, fully stocked kitchen and the usual household amenities (trash bags, laundry soap, etc). He even purchased a pack and play crib for our grand daughter. We all had a great time and commented that this was one of the best house rentals we have ever stayed at. The house was very clean and the kitchen had everything that we needed. It had 12 beach chairs, an umbrella and beach toys for the kids. The grill was top notch. The screened in porch was a big hit for hanging out after the kids went to sleep. The beach and lots of good restaurants were all within 10 to 15 minutes away. Loads of space. Especially appreciated loft upstairs which served as play area for the kids. Very nice pool. Easy drive to multiple beaches. Really appreciated all the beach equipment. We had great cooks in our party/-kitchen equipment was great. And we enjoyed grill and screened-in-porch. Lovely neighborhood. Shot walk to pool and fitness center. With two kids of my own now I really wanted to keep that tradition alive and start bringing my boys to the beach with my parents and in-laws along for the ride. The house could not have been more perfect. It was in a great and very friendly neighborhood just a 5 minute drive from downtown Bethany, 20 or so from Rehoboth. The house was spotless and exactly as listed. We had a small issue with the dishwasher not working, but after messaging John, the owner, he came over to the house himself and replaced. He was extremely nice to chat with and we were so happpy and thankful for taking the time out of his Monday. Each bedroom was great in size, the owners suite is the only one with an en-suite bathroom, but there were plenty to make use of. We made liberal use of a very spacious outdoor screened-in porch, and there was a brand new Weber grill that we used a couple of times for dinner at the house. Overall, my family was extremely happy not only with the house, but the overall experience. This home is definitely a 10/10 and I would highly recommend it for you and your family the next time you need a beach getaway. ##### Robert S. Once the kids went to bed, we could enjoy the screened in porch versus being stuck in the house. It was a short drive to the beach, and the chairs and cart that were available were such a lifesaver! The host was also extremely responsive. Having access to the pool was also amazing since we had two kids. We did have to bring our own linens and bath towels (or pay an extra $200) which we haven’t had to do at a VRBO before, but we made it work and brought our own. House had everything for an enjoyable beach vacation including beach chairs, umbrella and nice covered and mosquito protected terrace.
