The only feedback I have is to provide a fan or something for guests. The tv blocked the window so it could barely open and it was so hot I didn’t even stay there one night.

Old and very expensive
The room was out dated. Expensive for what we got. €130 was a bit much for the quality. Noise was unbelievable LOUD, no fan and it was very hot with winter like blankets. Breakfast seemed to be ok, we did not eat but it looked fine. The hotel receptionist (male) was not so friendly. His excuse for not having a fan was . The hotel is old. Would not stay again. It’s ok if u must have a place to stay one night. Close to the city 20 min walking and five from the Train station.

Lovely hotel to stay in whilst visiting beautiful Bamberg. Tea/coffee making facilities in room would be an improvement.

Excellent value for money in Prague.
Very good staff and recently refurbished hotel. Excellent value for money. Only 4 tram stops to the centre of Prague. Worth a stay.

Close to downtown area
Nice hotel close to the downtown area. The only negative for us was that the bathroom was essentially see through (with glass doors) and the drainage for the shower was not very good, so when you took a shower, the entire floor of the bathroom (including the area by the sink and toilet) got very wet.

Sufficient hotel close to center city
I was staying just for one night to visit center of Bambark. Location is good. Hotel is not so confortable as some resorts for vacation.

Charming hotel in the heart of Bamberg
Hotel National is conveniently located in downtown Bamberg. Easy walking distance to the charming old city. The hotel is older which means it has character and not quite as comfortable as a newer hotel. Overall good value for the money.

This is an old and not well maintained hotel with terrible decor. The bathroom had very ugly tiles and no shower curtains so the water splashed all over the bathroom and everything in it. The sink was clogged for most of the time despite complaints. Cleaning was poor. There was a stain on a table that wasn’t removed for 4 days and the bathroom cleaning was poor as well. No AC and no fridge and room was very hot and loud. They gave us a fan but it didn’t do much. The whole experience was poor with the room really ugly with old curtains and broken blinds and the bathroom with tiles from the 70s. Even the few food items they offered in the room (nuts, pretzels) were after the expiration date. Staff was excellent though!

i knew i had booked a small double room, but did not expect a cupboard! the room was about 18" bigger than the bed. stayed 5 nights, sheets not changed. think the bathroom was minimum clean as nothing seemed to have been moved, only towels changed. hanging area for clothes left about 15" to walk past. have seen bigger bathrooms

Decent choice in an expensive city
Hotel is very convenient for the train station, and about a 20-minute walk from the Unesco-protected old town. I had a room with a single bed, which was not very comfortable, but the rest of the room, including an excellent shower, was fine.

My stay at the National
Hotel staff where top notch,except for one lady who charged me 5 euros for a cup of coffee.The room was small but then for 50 euros a night , quite reasonable.very comfortable mattress,The cleaning ladies did an exceptional job.,always put 2 bottles of soda water-and 3 bags peanuts after every cleaning,.I would definitely stay here again.

Front desk was unmanned when I arrived. Had to go looking through the hotel to find someone - the cleaner on the 2nd floor - and even then took the staff 5 minutes to get there. No soap was in the containers in the room. No tissues in the room, asked at the front desk, took an hour to get them to the room, the front desk was rude when asked for them - mainly because it distracted her from checking her e-mails. Forget about sleeping in if you want, rooms are extremely noisy and the hotel staff even noisier when they are in the corridors.

OK for a short stay
A basic, no frills hotel just 5 minutes walk from the train station. It's an easy 10-15 minute walk to the main attractions, but there's not much around the hotel itself. I can't help but think there are better value hotels for the price than this one.

The very basic hotel, but suitable for a short stay in this small, but very picturesque town. Only a few minutes walk from the railway station and 10-15 minutes walk from the old city. For an unknown reason there are no curtains in shower cabins, so one have to be very careful not cause a deluge in the bathroom.

Close to the center of Bamberg. Friendly staff and great breakfast. If you like the hotels in quaint urban setting, this is for you. For Americans, there is no air conditioning, but the rooms get a great cross breeze. Bamberg is less expensive than other cities in the area and the hotel is close to the buzz of food and breweries.

The rooms have no fans or air conditioning. Also, my room faced the back alley and was cutoff from any breeze. It was often hotter in the room than it was outside. I would definitely Utley stay here again. I would just ask for a different room and buy a small fan.

Woken up by drilling and hammering as hotel rooms being renovated. Staff nice enough but poor customer service skills. Limited breakfast buffet but nice breakfast staff. Location great for train station and town but for the price, I would stay elsewhere in future.

Hotel Close to Train
This is a basic hotel that was very convenient for what I needed. I was no able to try their breakfast buffet as I had to leave early each day for appointments. Hotel rooms were being updated. Restaurants and train station very close.

Very close to the main train station in Bamberg, a pleasant walk away from the major attractions. Smallish room with basic comfort. Missing were multiple electric outlets to charge devices etc.
