"Excellent at a moderate price"
This hotel is very nice, I would stay here again. Waikiki hotels are out of my price range, so I wanted to try something different. The hotel is in a industrial area, but it is only five minutes away from the Moanalua shopping center that has lots of fast food and local style eateries. The hotel looks just like it is advertised on the website. Pool is very clean. My family was in a first floor room, it was very quiet. Room was small, but good enough for the low price. I like the cold a/c and hot shower. The freeway is only several minutes away from the hotel. Driving to Waikiki is less than twenty minutes. Some people may not like the hotel because it looks more like an apartment building in an industrial area, however, for the price, and if you are just looking for a place to stay, I would highly recommend the Pacific Marina.

"Beautiful Family Resort"
My family of 7 ( 5 adults, 2 children 5 & 6) stayed at Aulani in November. As we arrived we were greeted outside and we all received leis. We had a 2 bedroom villa. It was so roomy, plenty of room for the 7 of us. Do not upgrade to an ocean view cause I believe all 2 bedroom villas are ocean view. When I booked, it said garden view but my was an ocean view over looking the garden (which was beautiful). It was a perfect time to go, no crowds! I pre-registered the kids & singed them up for activities online for Aunty's Beach House so when I arrived everything was smooth sailing. No standing in line, no waking up early like other reviews mention. I also set up my reservations online for dining which I suggest you do. We did the Makahiki dinner buffet & character breakfast buffet. Also Ama Ama with just the adults while the kids were at Aunty's Beach House. Yes they are all expensive but that was expected being at a Disney Resort. At the Character breakfast you take a picture w/ Mickey 1st before being seated then as you are eating all the characters will come around and interact with you, Its great! Ama Ama is an upscale restaurant. Its best not to go with the kids. Sunset is around 5:50 pm daily so a great reservation time would be 5:30 pm to see the beautiful sunset. There are tons of different daily family activities to do. Just pick up the Daily IWA (ready the night before at 7p at the front desk) to plan out your day. The pools are gorgeous, The Spa is a must!!!

"Amazing Resort, better than we had hoped for!"
Everything about the Marriott's Ko'Olina was amazing! The room was comfortable, spacious and private! The staff was helpful and friendly! The location is perfect, not far from the airport, but a world away from the bustling city atmosphere of Waikiki! The highlight of this resort for us would be the beaches, each resort on this stretch has it's own man made lagoon with what I would call a coral reef separating it from the rough waters and tides. You can walk freely from one beach to the next but need a key card to enter back onto resort property. Snorkeling in the lagoon was like swimming in a fish tank I EVEN GOT TO SWIM WITH A TURTLE! As would be expected, everything at the resort is expensive, so I recommend bringing your own snacks and booze! There is a Safeway within 15 min. of the resort! Also, if you are a smoker, you should probably keep in mind that Smoking is practically forbidden in these places, only allowed in a few spots in the parking lot and certainly not on the beach, I could see this being a problem for a dedicated nicotine addict.

"Enjoyed our stay but suggest A/C for summer months"
Some nice aspects to these units but the major downside for us during the summer was not having air conditioning, which with 3 kids we wished we would have more strongly considered. The area has a nice rustic feel. The owner has made good efforts to make the hotel welcoming and modernized the kitchen and bathroom. With the heat of summer, windows needed to be open all the time, reducing a sense of privacy and there was plenty of noise throughout the nights from other tenants and neighbors.
