The full-size bed takes center stage, flanked by two bedside lamps that give the space a warm, calming glow. Overhead lighting keeps things bright, even without much natural light. To your left, there’s a simple work-from-anywhere desk setup with a comfy office chair — perfect for remote work, journaling, or scrolling while you sip your morning coffee. Across from the bed, you’ll find a mounted smart TV and some open shelving for your essentials. The kitchenette is efficient and functional, with a stovetop, microwave, and enough space to prep a quick meal or reheat leftovers from a local spot. At the back, there’s a clean, no-frills bathroom with a standing shower and everything you need to freshen up after the beach. It’s simple, quiet, and just right for budget-conscious travelers who want a clean place to sleep, recharge, and explore Fort Walton Beach. While visiting Florida please be mindful we do have tropical bugs — mosquitoes, palmetto bugs, wood roaches, no seeums, etc. While we do actively treat for pests you may encounter a few critters during your stay. If the doors are left open, you will most likely allow these creatures in the home. As much as we’d love a critter free home sometimes it’s just not possible. Let us know if you’ve encountered anything that may alarm you! The property will be cleaned prior to your arrival. Please note that we do not provide additional cleaning or housekeeping services during your stay. We hope you fall in love with Fort Walton just like we did LINENS/SUPPLIES: The linens and supplies provided will not be replenished during your stay as housekeeping is not provided, you have the option to use the the washer/dryer provided (if the property includes in unit) or you can use the community laundry to clean linens which is normally coined check the house manual for codes. Consumables have already been provided for the duration of your stay. To maintain the quality and cleanliness of our linens and Towels, we kindly ask guests to avoid using them for any items that may cause stains or discoloration, such as makeup, hair dye, tanning products, or coloring sticks. Many of these substances cannot be removed easily, and in some cases, the stains are permanent. When this happens, the linens must be disposed of and replaced, which comes at an additional cost. If our cleaning team provides a photo report of stained or damaged linens beyond normal use, a replacement or cleaning fee will be charged to the guest. I got this cottage because it mentioned it was 20 minute walk from the beach and I did not get a rental car.Upon my arrival, I noticed the toilet and the shower were dirty. I tried to walk to the beach, but it’s only accessible through the bridge which is not a 20 minute walk. It’s an hour if not an hour and a half walk and the bridge is not accessible to walking.I tried to walk the route that the owner gave, but it was incorrect for walking. The only thing that was great about this stay was the bed was comfortable. Also, if you think you’re gonna get a quiet nights rest you’re wrong.
