For two people being disabled we were on the third floor end unit farthest from the elevator and being in the elevator was like a sauna I understand it being warm out there but being on the third floor and I don’t know they switched and gave me one free night to use as room service or the café in the construction at the end of the building is did not inform me to be honest I may not use you guys again or refer you sorry

Unfortunately, the pictures are not telling the full story. I understood that there was construction taking place, however there are some serious things to consider when staying at this resort. There were temporary beams between floors that were "supporting" the structure, for what I could only assume was due to the work being done. Also, the construction dumpsters and debris were everywhere, the restrooms near the bar were not in working order, so there was only 1 single bathroom that was in the laundry room available to guests while out by the pool/bar. Also, the walk to the beach from the resort itself should merit a gold cart to be honest, especially for older guests. The elevator was another issue, every time you took the chance to ride it, you hoped this would not be the time that it would get stuck or break. In all honesty, we would have checked out of the hotel the first night but being a holiday weekend finding a new place with a vacancy to stay was impossible.

We apologize that our service did not satisfy your expectations however, we did advise future guests of the construction project prior to their arrival. There were additional restrooms available onsite as well as in the guest's room. We do have a wide beach which most of our guests appreciate and we would provide assistance due to the distance if requested. We are a small quiet Family property and understand we do not meet every ones needs and once more we are sorry we did not meet yours.

Good location!
The hotel is going under a renovation with a small to none inconvenience. The new rooms are freshly painted, has also new floors and comfortable beds. The hotel is right on the beach, so very well located only minutes away from Fort Myers pier.

I was happy with the staff and facility but I had requested connecting rooms at least a month before my trip since we were traveling with my daughter and her baby but didn’t get one. Also our shower flooded and water spilled into the bedroom I received no call or apology for what happened. That’s not good customer service.

Top Notch on all levels!
From the rooms to the amenities to the staff, The Outrigger is a top notch facility and my favorite place to stay on vaca in FMB!

It was just OK. Nothing special except the beach. Property is dated and needs lots of work. Staff I interacted with were very nice but won't go back. Will find a nicer more comfortable place to stay next time.

Happy with our stay. Rooms were clean and comfy. Pool was nice. Beach was beautiful, but the sand was full of seashells. Ouchies. The public beach was better. AND the hotel is in the middle of the island which was nice, but also a pain if you drove anywhere.... lots of traffic, one lane, and parking on the island was so expenvise too.

Traveled to this resort from Ohio with my partner for a week long vacation. This property is absolutely lovely! From the moment we checked in it was amazing. The housekeeping, bartenders, servers, front staff all amazing. Plenty to do around the strip. Highly recommend and worth every penny. Already thinking about booking again for next year!

Great time in Fort Myers and staying at the Outrigger. The staff was very friendly and helpful all week long. Our room was very clean and housekeeping did a great job every day making sure we had everything we needed. The tiki bar was great, The bartenders were all very friendly and fun. Closing at nine every day was a bummer but I get it lol. Awesome to have our private area on the beach and the view was beautiful. We will definitely be back!!

Exceeds Expectations
This was our first time as a family staying at a hotel on the beach. We absolutely loved our stay here. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. They gave us insightful knowledge about food, discounts, and sea turtle season. The pool area was nice and had plenty of chairs and tables for multiple families to enjoy the pool. The walk to the beach was amazing. They also have a volleyball net close to the hotel as you walk down to the beach, so your family can enjoy a game of beach volleyball. My only regret from this trip is not making it a longer trip. My family and I will definitely be back to vacation at this hotel again next year!

Hotel was nice and convenient . It was nice have restaurant and bar onsite. Restaurant workers were very friendly . The only negative is they were under construction and our room faced the construction so kind if an eye sore. Otherwise, nice hotel on the beach.

Location is great for enjoy beach and close restaurants. Parking will be and issue is you use two cars because they just allow one inside parking , the other car should be in front of hotel. If you like sport bar that is not present the bar close to the pool close at 9:00pm and you can no enjoy with friends a public tv .

The Outrigger is known as a quiet, laid back property. The hundreds of repeat guests and families, from around the world, that return to visit us each year have come to enjoy the laid, back, quiet atmosphere and the beautiful expanse of beach we are known for. Guests looking for more of the party/night life vibe may find accommodations at the north end of the island, closer to the bars more conducive for late night activities.
