Sunset Captiva homes enjoy a charming neighborhood of private sandy lanes, with shared use of the large heated pool, tennis courts, and boat dock. It needed a bit of a cleaning when we arrived and the property manager took care of it immediately. Great communication and we had such a good time on the screened in porch. House needs a bit of an update compared to other homes we have stayed in at this property but it was just fine for the four of us. So close to the beach and the pool is great too. Very charming home within walking distance to everything. The house had everything we needed with enough room for us to be together and have relaxing quiet time. The property is well kept, including the pool and community grills and the very short walk to the beach is great. This particular house is dated, especially the bathrooms. The second bedroom was supposed to have a queen size bed but it definitely was not a queen. The air conditioner is old and there is a warning not to set it below 74, which did not keep the upstairs cool enough for sleeping, even in February. I cannot imagine what it is like in warmer months. In addition, the fan in the second bedroom was missing the pull cord so was not usable. The second bedroom is dark, with no overhead light and only one lamp that did not work when we arrived. The realty company managing the house was generally very responsive and replaced the lamp but said they would return to put a cord on the fan but never did. There are many beach chairs and a cart in the storage area below the house which was nice.
