Ascending the stairs feels like climbing into a tree fort where time stands still and tomorrow is far away. Upon entering you are struck by a spacious living area with ample sitting options and even a couch with a queen sized sleeper. To the right are two bedrooms and a full bathroom. Each bedroom has a queen sized bed, ample closet space, ceiling fan, a mirror and wall mounted flat screen television with DVD/VHS players. The remodeled bathroom has marble flooring, a large free standing tub, corner shower, vanity, and medicine and linen cabinets.
Through the living room is the bright and open kitchen, remodeled in an elegant fashion with marble flooring, colorful tile backsplash, as well as an island with Corian countertop serving as an eating area with barstools and a wine cooler beneath the island. All appliances are black stainless steel, including a 5-burner glass-top range with convection oven, a built-in above range microwave, under counter dishwasher, refrigerator with side by side doors and freezer pull-out drawer, and a European style stainless steel sink with disposal. Everything necessary to create memorable meals, and there is even a Keurig coffee maker.
The kitchen opens out into a sunroom with wraparound windows which overlook the back yard. There is laminate wood flooring, and furnishings include a white wicker round glass-top table with four cushioned wicker chairs to enjoy games, projects, and meals. A door from here provides access to a large upper deck furnished with a tall, round, tile and glass-top table with umbrella and four tall chairs.
Descending the stairs takes you to another focal point of this home. Surrounded by a 6-foot high privacy fence, pavered walkways, travertine deck, rock landscaping, planters with a myriad of tropical plants and extensive solar lighting with an amazing salt water pool. Take a swim, rinse off in the outdoor shower then relax in your own tiki bar. This L-shaped bar, with wood tile countertop and colorful tile trim, has seating on both sides, and lush tropical decor. Wall-mounted fans and a flat screen TV are strategically placed to enjoy time before or after dinner following a “tough” day at the beach. Finally, on the lower level, there is a separate laundry room with wood tile flooring and full size washer, dryer, bathroom, owner refrigerator, and storage shelves.
Estero Island has numerous eateries--including Junkanoo Beach and Fresh Catch—as well as a vibrant night life. Water activities abound that include jet ski rentals, parasailing, fishing charters, dolphin and sunset tours. Sanibel Island, world famous for its sea shells, and Fort Myers with its Downtown River District, historic winter homes of Thomas Edison, Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone, lie not far to the north, while to the south is Lover's Key State Park, Bonita Springs, and Naples.
