Guests conveniently enjoy the distinct features of both the ocean and intracoastal waterfronts. Within the resort property this villa is located on the intracoastal/west side adjacent to Hillsboro Mile (A1A). It is secluded from this historic roadway via lush tropical landscaping which also partially screens sightlines to other resort guests on footpaths as they travel to and fro. See pics. RESORT AMENITIES The Royal Flamingo Villas (RFV) resort offer 3 primary amenities: 1) Private Beach, Stairway to Ocean Shoreline Beach, and Beautiful Sunrises; 2) Heated Pool and Patio Sunbathing & Gathering; and 3) Intracoastal Gathering, Shuffle Board Court, and Beautiful Sunsets. See pics. BASICS This villa is one-half of a duplex of two identical 'mirror-image' units. Villa rooms include: 1 bedroom w/ walk-in closet, 1 tub/shower bathroom, galley kitchen with eating nook, living/gathering room, and a covered private porch. 1950’s constructed 6+” solid-mortar walls provide superior sound insulation from the adjoining villa. Villa furnishings are high-quality wicker-/rattan-framed with comfortable decorative cushions. Furnishings are accompanied by decorative lamps, the latest in led reading/task lights, and accented by a relaxing, fun array of original Florida-themed artworks. A fully equipped kitchen is meant to be used. Dimmable lighting, appliances, cooking accessories, dishes and glassware provide variety and quality consistent with what guests would typically use in their own home. Villa V is central air-conditioned/-heated along with two interior ceiling fans each for gathering room and bedroom. The king-size-bed mattress and box-spring are comparable in comfort to 4/5-star hotels. An amazingly comfortable and easily movable blow-up bed is available to accommodate 3 overnight guests, though a hotel style cot is also available if requested. Monday-Saturday daily maid service is provided for linens & towels. For longer stays housekeepers periodically change bed linens & bathroom towels and clean bathroom(s) & floors. A laundry hut facility (takes quarters) is available on both the west- and east-side of the resort property. PORCH An underestimated feature of Villa V is an attached covered porch. This very private porch is more aptly described as a 3-sided tropical room useful in nearly any weather condition. Shaded and outfitted with 2 porch chairs, table, lounge, side-table and a ceiling fan, the porch looks southeast onto flowering plantings and the early morning, noon and afternoon sunshine of South Florida. Guests typically move their lounge to the porch side-yard to provide an additional, very convenient sunbathing option. One wall of the porch is a 7’ tall solid-tri-fold wall/door system that divides it from the porch of the adjoining villa. Guests vacationing together in both duplex villas (V & W) typically choose to unlatch this decorative divider to enjoin their porches. Of note, this porch divider system was designed and manufactured to custom specifications by a company that produces similar door systems for Augusta National Golf Club. BEYOND BASICS This unit is equipped with a high-performance Sony entertainment system. Integrated components include: Bravia 52” HD tv, blue ray DVD player, and a home theater soundbar and woofer speaker system. Content is delivered to the entertainment system via comcast's HD digital package. Beyond Comcast… An in-house library of DVDs is provided. For guests who want to enjoy their own digital libraries of music, movies, videos and photographs, the home theater system can be connected to guests’ i-phones or android devices via standard-wired connections, or paired via Bluetooth wireless technology. STAYING CONNECTED A dedicated parking space is provided a few steps from the villa backdoor -- an often underestimated convenience particularly for long-stay guests who plan to extensively dine and entertain inside or on porch. Hi-speed wireless internet is provided at no additional charge. Remote-work enablers -- desk, desk chair & task lamp -- are located in bedroom, although the kitchen table also jas a task lamp. The place is quiet and we have complete access to the beach, the private beachy area and the pool. The place was perfect for 2 and we used the outside patio for the brakfast. The drawback is being close to A1A and hearing the cars sometimes. At night we used the provided white noise speaker and it was like we were by the sea. Nice private porch. Owner comm beyond excellent. Managers on site excellent. Laundry on site. WiFi great. Comfy bed. Tiny kitchen. Plenty to do in an active area short walk to stores and restaurants. Close parking a plus. Only caveat is proximity to busy-ish road - very close, bedroom is maybe 20 feet from A1A road. Windows are old crank out style that don’t seal well and road noise during the day is a thing to be aware of, particularly if construction is underway nearby as it was for us. Likely I could have done better reading the listing but this did not jump out at me. Nevertheless owner very accommodating and overall a great stay. Night is typically quiet so that’s not an issue. ##### Paul M. We throughly enjoyed our stay in Villa V. Very clean and cozy. I always do my extra Disinfectant wipe down prior to getting situated and prior to checkout. The bed was a little soft for me but fine for my husband. There was plenty of tissue & towels, only two washcloths. I brought our own so we were ok w.this. outdoor chairs & fishing poles provided. Which was great for fishing day at Hillsboro Inlet Park (as this is a must do for my husband). Private beach access is wonderful. IntraCoastal in the back was beautiful as well. We sat out there one night for a tad. We did have to drive most places as there's not a ton in walking distance. We went to Boca Raton twice, night life on Saturday at Cosmos, (disco music was great) & taco Tuesday at Calaveras Cantina. The drive isn't far at all. We would definitely stay in Villa V again. The villa was the perfect size for the two of us. It is a very short walk to the beach. Enjoyed eating lunch on the covered patio and watching the lizards play in the bushes. Having the beach on one side of the community and the Inter-coastal waterway on the other was fun - beautiful sunsets over the waterway. Dies ist unser drittes Mal mit meinem Mann in den Royal Flamingo Villas, und das erste Mal in Toms Villa V. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit. Wir blieben 9 Nächte im September und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Tom's Villa ist sehr schön und gemütlich, und wir wurden mit einer sehr sauberen Villa begrüßt. Sie hat mehrere Tische/Schreibtische, mit sehr guter Beleuchtung!!! Gut durchdacht und nützlich für uns. Die Koordination mit Tom funktionierte wunderbar, ein super Gastgeber. Die Richtungen, Informationen über den Betrieb der Villa machte unsere Ankunft und Aufenthalt reibungslos. Wir fanden das Codeschloss an einer der Türen besonders praktisch! Die Lage der Villen ist fabelhaft, der Strand und die Intracoastal waterway sind zu Fuß erreichbar und jeweils mit schattigen Tikkis und Liegestühlen, mit viel Vegetation sehr gut gepflegt, die auch in der Veranda der Villa genossen werden kann, hat Parkplätze inbegriffen, insbesondere Villas V Parkplatz ist an der Tür der Villa und ist sogar im Schatten der Pflanzen. Einkaufszentren sind kurz erreichbar mit dem Auto, wobei in diesem Bereich die A1A eine normale Straße ist mit einem lagsamen Verkehr. Die Villas Office funktioniert sehr gut und hilft in allem, was man braucht. Vielen Dank Tom, bis nächste Mal! ##### Agnes B. The space was clean and we liked the location. The traffic on A1A didn't bother us sleeping. We stood on the beach and watched the fireworks both north and south. Then we walked across our property and watched more fireworks across the intercoastal waterway. Great communication with Tom who gave us lots of advice and recommendations which we used. Our Villa was old Florida style. Just as we like it. Excellent location with private beach on one side and intracoastal on the other. All within walking distance. Quiet and relaxing. This excellent location has a beautiful beach on one side and the Intracoastal for boat watching on the other. Our apartment was large, clean, and decorated for a resort homey feel. Across the street from beach and about a mile walk to the bars and restaurants. No real issues with the villa. It was clean and everything in working condition. Location was perfect just a short walk across the street to the beach. The private beach was beautiful. The water was clear and warm.The intercoastal was so beautiful too. The location was great and close to everything. We used the pool and private beach everyday. The road is noisy at night but the owner provided a sound machine which was super helpful. Unfortunately we had issues sleeping every night because the side of the bed closest to the window was sinking! We are not picky when it comes to bed comfort but it was sinking so bad it was unbearable to lay on.
