Upon entering the Marriott Hotel, a stark indifference greeted me. The reception lacked the professionalism synonymous with the hospitality sector. It felt as though guest inquiries were burdens, not opportunities for assistance, which was consistent throughout my stay.
The room, though equipped, had noticeably outdated furnishings, impacting the ambiance. The lack of daily room cleaning, which I found had to be requested, was puzzling.
Breakfast was a disappointment. The primary offering of tasteless pre-packaged items, and absence of a made-to-order service, limited the buffet options, pushing me to seek meals elsewhere.
I found the hotel's response to a potential safety hazard, a smoke alarm triggered by shower steam, alarming. Their lax approach raised questions about their commitment to guest safety.
The overall ambiance and worn-out carpets in public areas indicated poor maintenance, and the subpar service didn't align with the hotel's pricing.
As a person of color, I contemplated if racial bias affected the service quality I received. This may be a factor others should consider before choosing this hotel.
In conclusion, despite the kitchen staff's friendliness, my experience was poor. I advise prospective guests to consider alternatives before choosing this Marriott Hotel.
