We have always stayed with the hotel, but decided to try a VRBO. Property had pictures and wording that stated that they had things that they did not have (i.e. Microwave, blender). It looks as though owner has now updated the listing to be more accurate since our stay. My daughter has food allergies and we have to travel with her foods, so we were counting on the microwave. It took them 15 hours to respond to my message. I was then told that they can’t have microwaves due to it being a fire hazard and was directed to take it to the front desk, whom in turn told me that they couldn’t do anything for me because we were in a VRBO. The bathroom and shower were not up to cleanliness standards. I had to clean the counters and clean quite a bit of sand out of the shower floor before we could use it. The hotel staff was wonderful! The beds in the room were extremely comfortable. ##### Carri S. The service was absolutely amazing—every staff member went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The views from our room were beautiful, and the resort itself has so much charm and character. The food was expensive, as you’d expect at a resort, so I recommend bringing snacks, water bottles, etc. for your room to avoid paying $4–$10 for water. With a few updates to the property, it could be even more outstanding. Adding walking platforms on the beach would also make access much easier. Overall, we loved our experience and would definitely return! Our room was lovely with lots of space for 3 people. I loved the lazy River and having beach chairs with umbrellas. I thought the cocktails were overpriced with the added 20% gratuity and servers expecting an additional tip (since added gratuity was shared). One daiquiri cost 21\.
