Good location, good hotel

Posted 17-Jan-2017
Pros: See above comment
Cons: See above comment
Location: Good location for airport (10 minutes shuttle) but nothing to do around and no good restaurant. So use the hotel facilities for breafast and diner.
Pleasant staff, but a terrible air condition system. Corridors are like a frig!! So we got a cold!

Beware!

Posted 10-Jan-2017
Pros: Friendly attentive staff. Burgers in the restaurant were good.
Cons: Need to get rid of the bug problem. Fix the elevator (there was only one out of two working), retrain cleaning staff.
Location: Close to airport.
First the Good. Ate in their restaurant, good burgers. Friendly staff and they addressed our issue A.S.A.P. The bad. Took over an hour for their shuttle to come get us at the airport. Other hotels had shuttles come by at least 7 to 10 times before ONE Hilton Garden Inn shuttle came. I tried to call and each time was told "in a few minutes" And they gave the excuse of traffic (why then, did all the other hotels have no problem). It seems like they only have one or two shuttles? Once we got there, I asked to have a room with two queen beds (I had originally asked for a king) No problem they switched. Once my daughter and I got to the room it was within the first 15 minutes, my daughter squashed a small bug. I looked at it to see what kind but wasn't able to tell. We went to dinner and ordered burgers that were very good. Came up to the room and after getting changed (after a long day of travel) I found bug 2. This time, I was able to identify it as a bed bug (I showed it to the staff) they changed our room immediately and gave us a voucher for breakfast. Very nice. (but still.. ew). Next room had a very loud generator over head, my daughter refused to move again. Then, I found a chocolate chip cookie half way under the bed (not ours). In the morning, I noticed the bathroom was infested with ants. I told the front desk as I was checking out and they did comp the room, but until they retrain their cleaning staff and fumigate their rooms, I won't be back.

Pros: location
Cons: water pressure, security.
AC thermostat was broken so couldn't warm nor cool the room. The water pressure was unacceptable low. I've stayed at most of the hotels in the area and this one had the worst water pressure. The exit doors were unlocked all night and the entry gate was never locked.

A GREAT and very CONVENIENT hotel

Posted 13-Dec-2016
Pros: Everything
Cons: Everything was excellent
I stayed in this hotel for 2 days and a half with my mom and just great things come out of my mouth for that place: Staff: Everyone was extremely polite and efficient. I needed their help a couple of times and they checked and double-check that I was satisfied with the provided service. The staff in the Reception were the nicer friendly persons on Earth Location: AMAZING --> One can find close by a huge Shopping Mall, restaurants, and bars. On top of that, it is near the airport Amenities: I had a great time working out in the gym and the swimming pool was excellent (facing the sunshine from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM) Room: Spacious, and clean & tidy with comfy beds Very important: No hidden charges like in some other places No doubt I will be back to that hotel when visiting Fort Lauderdale again

Staff were great

Posted 15-Nov-2016
Pros: The van shuttle drivers were very impressive. The not only did their airport pickups and drop-offs, but in between runs to the airport, they dropped us off at a nice restaurant, and picked us up after dinner. The front desk staff and maid services were also top notch.
Cons: One of the elevators was out of service. This slowed things down during check-in and check-out time.
Location: Shopping, restraints, near by. Very close to the cruise lines.

Cruise night stay

Posted 8-Nov-2016
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Expand the interior bar/restaurant
Location: Shopping mall, fast food, and dining restaurants right there.
This was our second stay for a cruise and it was better than the first. No hassles about the reservation. No hidden charges. Clean spacious rooms, (we had 3 separate rooms, all excellent). Reasonable breakfast buffet, ($12.95), reasonable cruiseport fare, ($10.00). Free shuttle to a variety of restaurants. I would definitely recommend this hotel. And an extra shout out to Angelica for excellent customer service!
