Birkie Haven - an exceptional vacation home experience !
10/10 Excellent
"Another wonderful mid-May stay at the Birkie Haven. A few updates to the property since my last stay in October of 2025: a new desk in the loft for those of us who can't escape a little work even while on vacation; new mirrors and tables in the bedrooms; extra storage cubes in the entryway; a new ski rack in the storage shed for winter visitors in addition to the wader rack for those who fish.I love the loft layout of the Birkie Haven. The first floor consists of two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and dining on the first floor with a fireplace. The cozy loft space has additional dining space, the new desk, comfy furniture and large tv for streaming your favorites. Board games if you prefer. Large windows throughout the cabin to view the flora and fauna on the large, wooded lot.The cabin has everything you may need for a stay: all the necessary kitchen appliances including two coffee makers both drip and single serve; ample cookware, plates and utensils; a washer and dryer for longer stays or the unexpected; extra blankets and pillows in case two won't do; a firepit and Adirondacks for an evening of socializing . . .As with previous stays at the Birkie Haven, the owners are very communicative. They promptly respond to any questions or concerns I may have with the property, in general, or the greater Hayward area. (Thanks for that information Sunday, Jennifer!)Looking forward to future stays at the Birkie Haven!"
Very Private Cabin on Upper Twin Lake...Great Views...Close to Trails!
8/10 Good
"The cabin was perfect as it was exactly what was advertised. The host was very prompt with communication.. however I found her a little snippy, and I found some of the communication in her white book a little sarcastic and unfriendly as well. Overall a great property.. just not the friendliest host"
The fishing is great! Trails are close by. Enjoy summer in the Northwoods!
8/10 Good
"The kitchen was super tiny with not a lot of counter space for food. But everything else was excellent. Beds were all super comfy, you had everything we needed in utensils and space. I would highly recommend to anyone. Thank you SO MUCH. We got to have a great weekend. Thank you for sharing your space with us."
On a 3200 acre lake with 400 ft of frontage. Great fishing kayaking boating fun
10/10 Excellent
"A great cabin for a couple or small family. Clean, cozy and well-equipped. We were there in the winter so we didn't take advantage of being on the edge of the lake (other than the view) but it was great to hang out in with the fireplace going. We would definitely return in either the summer or winter."
