The staff at the restaurant were lovely too and the food was excellent and worth the little extra we paid. It's not the cheapest Portuguese restaurant but quite a surprising find in such a small village. We can recommend the steak and the bacalhau. The home was clean, spacious, and fully equipped with everything we could possibly need — from a well-stocked kitchen with coffee to an outdoor BBQ area complete with dishes and a sink. The hosts were friendly and very accommodating with our check-in and check-out times, which we truly appreciated. Our kids (2 & 5) loved the small pool — just the right size for a young family. The outdoor space was perfect for gathering and relaxing, though we’d recommend bringing bug spray for the evenings. We only wish we had more time — we would have loved to stay longer! Another thing worth noting is that its off the beaten path - so be prepared to drive down a dirt road and to be 'away' from any neighbours. The drive is well lit and there is cell phone reception at all times so its not so obscure that your off the grid, but it is far enough inland that your in a private space.
